Walk-in-interview for the engagement of retired ex-servicemen of the rank of Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) - (Male) from Indian Army/Para-military forces for Security Supervisor on purely contractual basis on shift duties.

IGNOU desires to engage one Security Supervisor to be placed at Security Department purely on contractual basis amongst the retired ex-servicemen from Indian Army/Para Military forces from the rank of Junior Commissioned Rank (JCO)/Subordinate Officer or equivalent initially for a period of six months and extendable further as per the requirement of the University. The service can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. The incumbent shall have no claim of any nature at par with regular/permanent employee of the University.

Age limit : 65 Years

Essential qualification & Experience : Retired ex-servicemen of the rank of Junior

Commissioned Officer (JCO)/ Subordinate Officer from Indian Army or equivalent rank from Para-military forces having more than 30 years of experience. The incumbent must have handled duties such as operational/administrative/secretarial/stores/fire fighting/imparting physical training and other related issues and must have experience of working in shift duties in a Government Department/ Universities and Institute of repute. The selected candidate(s) has/have to carry out other duties as directed by the University authorities from time to time.

Medical fitness : The candidates applying for the position must enclose

a Medical Fitness Certificate from the Medical Officer/Medical Doctor of any Hospital/institute of repute to the effect that he is fit to render the job alongwith the prescribed application form.

Note :

1. Interested candidates are requested to bring in the enclosed prescribed application form duly filled in, in ink by himself, original copy of educational/professional qualification, experience or proof relating to superannuation and attach the photocopy of the same duly self attested along with the application form. The candidates are requested to report for interview before the selection Committee on Tuesday i.e. 26.12.2017 at 11.00 AM sharp in Board Room. Block-8, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi 110068. However, the candidates are required to report are 10.00 AM on the same date and venue for verification of their records. The candidature of candidate reaching late beyond the stipulated date and time will not be considered.

2. No TA/DA and other allowances will be paid for appearing in the interview.
