Recruitment of Consultants/ Academic Associates in History

Eligible candidates are invited for walk in interview to be held on 8th February2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Board Room, VC Block, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi for filling up Three posts (Full-Time, contractual) of Consultants/ Academic Associates in the Discipline of History in School of Social Sciences (SOSS), IGNOU, New Delhi. The Positions are initially for a period of six months, extendable further as per requirement.

` 40,000 to

` 60,000

(i) Master Degree in History with minimum of 55% marks for general candidates (50% for SC/ST/PH/OBC) and NET qualified/ PhD as per UGC guidelines.
(ii) Teaching/Research experience of about 5-7 years, particularly in Ancient Indian History and Medieval Indian History.

Academic Associate

` 30,000 to

` 50,000

(i) Master Degree in History with minimum of 55% marks (50% in case of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category) and NET qualified/ PhD as per UGC guidelines
(ii) Specialisation in Ancient Indian History and Medieval Indian History.

Desirable Qualification :

Competency to work in Hindi is also required.

Job Profile: The nature of work would involve activities pertaining to development of academic programmes in History discipline offered by the University. The job would include writing and editing of course material, supervising and vetting the Hindi translation, and assisting the Programme Coordinator in day to day activities related to course development.

Interested candidates are requested to bring their Bio-Data along with the One set of Certificates relating to their Academic Qualifications & Experience and other testimonials. They should also bring their dissertation and published work (if any).

Notes: 1. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

2. The posts are purely contractual and persons selected will have no right whatsoever for absorption /regularization in the University.
