WALK-IN WRITTEN TEST CUM SKILL / PROFICIENCY / PHYSICAL TEST

FOR RECRUITMENT FOR NON-EXECUTIVES POSTS IN GRADE IV FROM AMONGST ELIGIBLE EX-APPRENTICE OF BARAUNI REFINERY

Barauni Refinery, a refining unit of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, proposes for filing up of available vacancies in Non-Executives cadre in Grade IV in the Payscale of Rs. 11,900 32,000 (Pre-revised) from the Indian Nationals having successfully completed their Apprenticeship Training from Barauni Refinery for the following trade/disciplines:

1. Trade Apprentice / Attendant Operator ( Chemical Plant) *

2. Trade Apprentice ( Boiler)

3. Technician Apprentice ( Chemical)

4. Technician Apprentice ( Electrical) *

5. Technician Apprentice ( Mechanical)

6. Technician Apprentice ( Electrical)/ Technician Apprentice ( Mechanical)/ Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) - For MATERIALS : Only for PwBD:

*Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) can appear against Sl. 01, 04 & 06 ONLY.

AGE REQUIREMENT (As on 30/11/2017):

Minimum prescribed age is 18 years and maximum 26 years for Unreserved category trainees. Relaxation in age by 5 years for SC/ST candidates & 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates for the posts reserved therein. Additional relaxation of 10 years for PWBD candidates for the reserved and identified posts. Age relaxation to the extent of apprenticeship training completed at Barauni Refinery shall also be given to candidates of all categories, in addition to age relaxation otherwise applicable for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWBD

Candidates having successfully completed the Apprenticeship Training from Barauni Refinery and meeting the prescribed age criteria are advised to appear for the Walk-in Written Test cum Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test on the following date and Venue:

Reporting at 09: 00 AM on 17th December 2017 (SUNDAY)

at BR Training Centre, IOCL-Barauni Refinery Site, Begusarai ( BIHAR)

All the eligible candidates who have earlier completed their apprenticeship training from Barauni Refinery are required to appear on the above time, date & venue with Originals & attested photocopies of Govt. issued Photo Id Proof, All marksheets of the qualifications from Matriculation onwards, Apprenticeship Certificate in relevant trade issued by Barauni Refinery, Latest Caste Certificate in such prescribed Performa applicable to across India, Proof of Age (Matriculation marksheet/certificate etc), two passport size color photographs, and any other relevant testimonial, documents, proof & certificates. Qualifications should be in regular full time course from a recognized Institute/University and as prescribed under the recent recruitment/ engagement modalities of the Corporation.

Candidates shall also be required to furnish & maintain mobile no. & email id for the purpose of this recruitment process.

All the above notified vacancies involve working in operations and maintenance activities in Plant area (rotating shifts). Petroleum Refining is considered as complex and hazardous process and hence placement of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) shall only be for Quality Control and Materials department in the disability category of PV-Low Vision, PH-Hard of Hearing, PL-Musculoskeletal (OH-OA/OL) , or Multiple (A combination of above).

In case of selection, the ex-apprentices, depending on their placement, shall be required to undergo further Training, as per rules of the Corporation.

Candidates possessing professional qualifications such as BE/ B. Tech. / B.Sc. (Engineering)/MBA/MCA or similar professional qualification applicable in IOCL for recruitment in induction level post of Engineer/Officer in Grade A shall NOT be considered as eligible.

No woman is permitted to work in or allowed to enter any building in which generation of gas from Dangerous Petroleum as defined in the Petroleum Act 1934, is carried on. No woman is allowed to work in LPG storage and handling area. Women candidates are also not considered against the cadres/work areas that requires shift operations 365 days in a year or necessitates undertaking work beyond 07.00 pm (& upto 06.00 am), like Production, P&U Operations (Boiler & Electrical), Quality Control and Fire & Safety or maintenance services normally performed in shifts. However, subject to limitations above, exemptions if any, work & work performance requirements and availability of identified positions, women may be engaged.

Note: Candidates not successful in completing their Apprenticeship Training from Barauni Refinery or not meeting the prescribed age criteria are advised NOT to appear for the Walk-in process against this advertisement.
