Applications are invited on plain paper for one purely temporary post of Statistical Consultant on contractual mode in the Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR) Unit.

Qualification : Essential M.Sc. and Ph.D degree in Biostatistics/Statistics/Health Statistics from a recognized University/Institution.

Desirable At least three years of Post Doctoral Research experience and research papers published.

Age: Upper age limit 70 years (Not exceeding 69 years on January 31, 2018)

Job description: (i) To evaluate the research articles submitted to IJMR from statistical point of view.

(ii) To give statistical inputs/opinion on research study/design of manuscripts submitted to IJMR.

Salary: Consolidated Rs 60,000/-per month. No other allowances.

The candidates fulfilling essential qualifications should submit an application on plain paper attaching self-attested certificates for age and qualification, a photograph and Abstract page of each research paper published by January 31, 2018 till 4:00 pm to the office of Senior Administrative Officer, Room number 203. The eligible candidates will be invited for a Personal Discussion at the ICMR Headquarters, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi on a later date. Eligible candidates who will be called for Personal Discussion are required to bring five sets of photocopies of their Curriculum Vitae and all other certificates/testimonials as also the original certificates for verification.

The selected candidate will work in the Indian Journal of Medical Research Unit.

The post is purely temporary till the duration of the contract. The selected candidate will be governed by the ICMR rules applicable to temporary project staff. He/she will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR. Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim etc. are not admissible.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview.
