ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS (No.05/2017)

Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for Teaching Post in Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (Main Campus at Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh and Regional Campus at Manipur).

Eligible Candidates should fill Online Application Form through IGNTU website http://igntu.ac.in/recruitment.htm and must submit hard copy with self attested all supporting documents.

The Opening date of online registration is 01.11.2017. The closing date for submission of online application is 30.11.2017 and submission of hardcopy of application along with enclosures is 10.12.2017.

Minimum Education Qualifications:

1. (A) Professor (PB-4 with AGP 10000/-, As per UGC Regulations, 2010 as amended from time to time)

  • An eminent scholar with Ph.D qualification in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and /or research/ policy papers.

  • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/ College, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

  • Contribution to education innovation, design of new curricula and technology-mediated teaching learning process.

  • A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the 4th amended of the UGC Regulation, 2010.

OR

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline to be substantiated by credentials.

(B) Professor (Education) (PB-4 with AGP 10000/-, As per UGC Regulations, 2010 & NCTE Regulations, 2014 as amended from time to time)

2. Associate Professor (PB-4 with AGP 9000/-, as per UGC Regulation, 2010 as amended from time to time)

  • Good academic record with a Ph.D degree in the concerned/ allied/relevant disciplines.

  • A Masters degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

    • A minimum of eight years (08) of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University/ College or Accredited Research

    • Institutions/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.
  • Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

  • A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based performance based appraisal system (PBAS) set out in the 4th amended of the UGC Regulation, 2010.

3. (A) Assistant Professor (PB-3 with AGP 6000/-As per UGC Regulations, 2010 as amended from time to time)

  • Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.

  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC.

  • Candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions in accordance with the permission laid down in the 4th amendment of the UGC Regulation, 2010.

(B) Assistant Professor (Education) (PB-3 with AGP 6000/-, As per UGC Regulations, 2010 & NCTE Regulations, 2014 as amended from time to time)

Terms & Conditions:

1) The direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the University shall be on the basis of merit through all India advertisement, screening and selections by the duly constituted Selection Committees in accordance with the provisions given in the UGC Regulations/NCTE Regulations, 2014 (as the case may be) as amended from time to time, and provisions given in the University Act/Statutes/Ordinances/Rules etc.

2) Candidate must bring all original Degrees, Mark sheets, testimonials, certificates relating to his/her age, qualification, experience and caste etc. at the time of interview. In case the candidate fails to submit the original documents for verification of the certified/ Xerox copies of the enclosures to his/her application, he or she shall not be allowed to appear at the interview and his candidature shall be treated as cancelled without any further communication in this regard.

3) The University may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview as per the rules for this purpose to a reasonable number on the basis of Qualification, experience, higher than the minimum prescribed or by any other condition that it may deem fit.

4) The Selection procedure shall be as laid down by the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Others Academic staff in University and Colleges and Measures for Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education-2010 as amended from time to time.

5) Relaxation in percentage of marks and experience etc. may be applicable to the candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste(SC)/Schedule Tribes(ST)/OBC/PWD or other reserved categories as per the UGC/Govt. of India guidelines in vogue. A certificate to this effect issued from the competent Authority should be attached with the prescribed application form. Wherever, relaxation of qualification including percentage of marks is permitted under the UGC/ Govt. of India guidelines, such relaxation shall also be considered in appropriate cases subject to recommendations of the Screening Committee.

If the relevant certificates for respective reserved categories are not attached with the application, the application shall be rejected and no appeal against will be entertained.

6) Experience and qualification will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of application.
7) Candidates intending to apply for different posts are required to apply separately.
8) In absence of hard copy of online application form along with self-attested necessary supporting
documents, the candidature shall not be considered for screening/interview etc.
9) No TA/DA will be paid for attending interview before the selection committee. However, the out-side
candidate belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories will be defrayed second class rail fare (shortest route),
and in case any station is not connected by rail subject to production of proof. Ordinary bus fare shall
be paid (shortest route) as per the guidelines of the UGC/ Govt. of India rule. Extra charges (if any)
incurred for reserving seat/sleeping berth in the train will, not be reimbursed to the candidates.

10) Application Fees

(i)
Non-Refundable fees for candidates of UR/OBC category is Rs 500/-.
(ii)
SC/ST/PWD candidates need not to pay any application fee.

11) HOW TO APPLY:

(i) Interested candidates have to submit the hard copy of the Online Application before the last date of application by speed/registered post along with;

a.
Self attested copies of the certificates of proof of Age, Qualifications, Experience, Caste & API, regular scale of pay, etc.
b.
Declaration Form
c.
Endorsement by the Employer(if employed); and/or NOC, and
d.
Proof of payment of salary

And, hard copy of the application should reach within 10 days from the last date of online application in a closed cover super-scribing Application for the post of and the advertisement No. . of the post as prescribed in the advertisement.

(ii) Candidates are required to have a valid personal email ID. It should be kept active during the process of recruitment. The IGNTU will send call letters for interview through the registered email ID or the same may be downloaded from the designated portal. In case, a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he / she should create his / her new email ID before applying Online.

(iii) The name of the candidate, Date of Birth and his / her Parents name etc. should be spelt correctly in the online application in BOLD LETTERS as it appears in the class 10th certificates / marks sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature.

12) Other Conditions:

(i)
Mere possession of eligibility conditions shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the closing date as prescribed in the advertisement for receipt of the applications. In other words no candidate shall be called for interview if he/she does not possess the minimum qualification and experience etc. as on the closing date of the application for a particular post.
(ii)
Candidate who is already in service should submit his/her application through proper channel. However, he/she may send an advance copy of his/her application and should produce a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview failing which he/she shall not be entertained in interview.

(iii) It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his own eligibility for the post for which he/she is applying in accordance with the prescribed qualification, experience etc and submit his/her application duly filled-in along with desired information, documents and other supporting materials as per the advertisement. Suppression of factual information, supply of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of his candidature. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future even after appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualification, experience etc which could not be detected at the time of interview due to whatever circumstances, his/her appointment shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause without any notice and also based on his undertaking.

(iv)
Candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly for updates related to recruitment.
(v)
(a) The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill up the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever.
(b)
The University reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without assigning any reason to this effect.
(c)
The University reserves the right to increase or decrease or withdraw the vacancies according to the circumstances.
(d)
Interim enquiries shall not be entertained.
(e) CANVASSING IN ANY FORM SHALL DISQUALIFY THE CANDIDATURE OF THE CANDIDATE (f) Applicants are required to apply online separately for each post.
