Information about Institute and General Instructions for the candidates
- 1.0 Introduction:
Indian Institute of Teacher Education is the university established by Govt. of Gujarat by passing an act in Gujarat Legislature Assembly in the year 2010. The university is established with an objective of training prospective teachers professionally and to help them becoming effective and efficient teachers to serve the humanity in general and society in particular.
The following are objectives and vision and mission of the University:
OBJECTIVES

- To evolve and implement a new program of teachers' education that would provide education and training to prospective teachers that aim at development of new integral development of teachers.

- To train prospective teachers based on globally benchmarked curriculum with ideas gleaned from the fusion of the intellectual traditions of India and the West.

- To equip teachers with the competencies requisite for dealing with the 21st century issues of the choices and challenges of students.

- To impart teacher training which enables the prospective teachers to see the obtaining world in the new light of universal human values.

- To promote the indigenous tradition of teacher-student relationship (Guru-Shishya parampara) in various fields of humanities, arts, crafts, sciences, technologies and yoga (psychological and physical education).

- 2.0 Course or Programme for Teacher Education:
These courses are innovative integrated teacher education courses. - 4.0 Structure of the Course:
These are compulsory residential programmes where students have to stay in hostel of the university. Medium of Instruction and Examination will be English Only.
These courses are structured to cater the need of Senior Primary and Secondary Schools where the subjects are general in nature and students have to learn basic and fundamental concepts in the fields of Maths, Science, Languages and Social Sciences. So the core element of the course is based on primary concerns of teacher education and subjects within.
The B.Sc.B.Ed. course is offered in two different combinations, at the first year they are PCB and PCM. PCB means Physics, Chemistry and Biology for (AB and B group of Science stream at 12th level) whereas PCM means Physics, Chemistry and Maths for (AB and A group of Science stream at 12th level).The students can opt any one of the subjects within group as Principal Subjects and part of the subjects are find subsidiary and /or Second subsidiary
The candidates who have passed 12th Common Stream Examination with English can apply for B.A.B.Ed. Course and language groups and social science group will be part of their curriculum.

- 5.0 Fees:

- 6.0 Method of Calculating Merit for admission:
To finalize the merit the following method will be followed:

- 40% of Merit will be calculated from total marks obtained in 12th Std.

- 60% of Merit will be calculated from PTPT (Pre Entry Test for Prospective Teachers)

Dos and Donts
Do download the Instructions and read it carefully. Go through the entire Instructions before starting to fill the online application form.
Don't rush to fill the form. Slow down. Rushing through your application can cause you to skip key sections and leave typos and misspellings.
Do enter your qualification mark. Students have to fill in their Qualification marks, before confirming your online application form, if the last date for filling form is not ahead of your Qualifying results.
Dont confirm your online application form, without entering Qualification marks. If the Last dates for filling online Application form is not ahead of declaration of Qualification results, make sure your Qualification marks are entered as your admission will be as per the merits of this marks.
Do fill your name and contact details correctly. You may fill in your name correctly as per your name in your School Leaving Certificate or 10/12 mark sheet
Don't let others, like Cyber cafe personnel to fill your application. They can make mistakes in typing your name and personal details, which can later create problems in your mark sheets.
Do upload proper Passport sized photograph. You may upload proper passport sized photograph captured in a photo studio.
Dont upload casual photograph. Uploading selfies or photos taken using Mobile/I pad/ Digicam will not be accepted.
Do upload properly scanned signature. Signature should be uploaded in signature column only.
Dont swap photograph and signature. Signature and photograph should be uploaded in their appropriate columns only.
Do register only once to apply for multiple courses. Register only once and apply to any number of courses you wish.
Dont register more than once with the same name. You can use the same registered application to apply for any number of courses.
Do use Laptop or Desktop computer. You may either use a Laptop or Desktop for filling up an application form.
Dont use Smartphone. Using a Smartphone to fill your application form can lead you to miss out some important details to be filled up.
Do use preferably latest version of browsers. The software used is created suitable to the latest widely used and user friendly browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).
Dont use older version of browsers. The software may not enable you to fill some detail using an older version of browser.
Dont take advice from Cyber caf personnel. You can use the facility of Cyber Caf or any Computer Centre, but not their advice for filling up the form.
Do pay only prescribed registration fees. Pay the online registration fees using personal Debit or Credit Card or Net Banking of self or relatives.
Dont pay anything extra other than prescribed registration fees. Payment of extra fees for filling up application form is unwarranted.
General Instructions for Filling up the application form:
- 1. Kindly note that B.A.B.Ed. and B.Sc.B.Ed. programmes are four-year integrated teacher education programmes and there is no exit in between. At the end of four years degree will be awarded.
- 2. Please take care in selecting centre of the test, once selected, no change is permitted.
- 3. Kindly note that the fees paid for the test shall not be refunded in any of the cases. It is non-transferable and not refundable.
- 4. Kindly ensure that you have passed qualifying examination from the board recognized by the competent authority, otherwise the application form is liable to be rejected.
- 5. If the candidate wishes to avail the benefit of reservation for the specified category, the document required must be provided along with the application form, at the time of counseling & admission; otherwise the admission will be treated in general category. For SEBC category, Non-creamy Layer Certificate from the competent authority must be latest and issued. As per the latest norms of issuing authority. If any of the certificates is not issued as per the norms, University may consider the candidate in general category
- 6. No candidate shall be allowed to keep any of the belongings like, mobile phone, calculator, bags, books, etc., in the centre of test. Only Pen and identity card will be allowed.
- 7. Candidates can submit the queries at the email address: onlineadmission@iite.ac.in
- 8. All email will be responded on the next working day.
- 9. If any of the candidates will be found copying or doing mal-practice shall be debarred from the test centre, but will not be allowed to leave the centre before test gets over.
- 10. No candidate shall be allowed to enter after 30 minutes of the commencement of test.
(After 11:45 a.m., no candidate will be allowed to enter test centre).
- 11. No candidate shall be allowed to leave test centre till he/she has done log out successfully.
