@ - One Post of Assistant Professor is reserved for the PWD Category of Hearing Impairment from amongst the departments of Home Science, Statistics, Microbiology, Sociology, Business Administration or Computer Science & one post of Assistant Professor is reserved for the PWD category of Loco Motor Disability or Cerebral Palsy from amongst the departments of Home Science, Law, Statistics, Microbiology, Sociology, Business Administration or Computer Science. Other candidates from these subjects may also apply for the said post. Their candidature will be considered for the department/subjects in which the candidate from PWD category is not considered.
Reservation Clauses for Person With Disabilities (PWD) category
1) Reservation for persons belonging to the category of PWD will be followed as per Govt.Rules. For getting reservation under this category, the candidate will have to submit certificate from the Competent Authority showing the minimum percentage of 40% disability.
2) The Certificate regarding disability must be issued by the Medical Board of the District Government Hospital to which district the candidate belongs, in prescribed format as per directions given in the G.R.No.Apang 1003/Pra.Kra.127/2003/16-A, dt.6th May, 2004 and Government Circular Apang 2009/Pra.Kra.133/Sudhar-3,dt.14.1.2011.
3) Reservation will be given only for the candidate who will produce certificate of Permanent Disability. Certificate showing Temporary Disability will not be considered for this purpose.
Terms & Conditions
1) Reservation shown for the above posts is as primarily scrutinized by the Asstt. Commissioner (B.C.Cell), Amravati and submitted for final approval to the Principal Secretary, GAD (B.C.Cell), M.S. Mantralaya, Mumbai and is subject to change if any.
2) Selection process and appointments as per this advertisement will be subject to the final outcome of Writ Petition No. 12051/2015 filed by Maharashtra All Bahujan Teachers Association V/s. State of Maharashtra & Others in the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Bench at Aurangabad.
3) Qualifications & Pay scales are as per UGC/ AICTE/ NCTE and State Government rules, applicable from time to time, for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor.
4) Qualification, Experience & all other eligibility conditions should be fulfilled as on the LAST DATE of application.
5) The principle of Creamy Layer is applicable to all reserved categories except Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, i.e. De-notified Tribes (A) Nomadic Tribes (B) Nomadic Tribes (C) Nomadic Tribes (D), Special Backward Category and Other Backward Communities as per the orders regarding the implementation of the said provisions issued by the Government vide Circular of Social Justice, Cultural Affairs and Special Assistance Dept. No.-10/2006/|.G.15/E-5, nxE 30 Vx, 2006. Candidates belonging to said categories are required to submit caste and Non-Creamy Layer Certificates accordingly. The above mentioned Govt. Circular and proforma of certificate is available on Govts. Web site at www.maharashtra.gov.in and its computer code (Unique Code) is 20060710122458001. Such candidates should attach copy of Non-creamy-layer certificate for the last financial year, to avail the relevant concession.
6) University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill the advertised posts OR to alter, modify, cancel the entire advertisement.
7) Prescribed Application Forms with details of qualifications, experience & other conditions etc. can be had on Non Refundable payment of Rs. 400 /- [ Rs. 200 /- in case of B.C. candidates] by cash / Demand Draft in favor of President, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Employees Credit Cooperative Society, Amravati Ltd. up to the LAST DATE from the counter of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Employees Credit Co-operative Society, near Main Administrative Building, University Campus, Amravati during office hours. 8) The application form can also be downloaded from our website www.sgbau.ac.in. In this case, the application should be submitted with Demand Draft of Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- in case of BC candidates) (non refundable) of Nationalized Bank drawn in favor of Registrar, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati so as to reach us on or before the LAST DATE.
9) All belated, incomplete and the applications which are not in the prescribed form along with all testimonials, certificates in 11 sets will be rejected and no communication shall be made with the candidates in this regard.
10) Original Copy of application form should be filled in by the candidate in his/ her own handwriting or neatly typewritten on computer containing all columns. Remaining 10 sets of Xerox copies of good quality will be considered.
11) The candidates who are working as Teachers should submit their application along with API Formats and supporting documents for the claimed score, otherwise their previous services could not be considered for promotion, placement, increments and other consequential benefits.
12) The candidates shall have to submit and sign a declaration in Form A as per rules prescribed by the Govt. of Maharashtra in respect of small family.
13) Candidate should read all the instructions AND particulars of advertisement given with this advertisement carefully before filling application form, do not leave any column blank, instead write N.A. or Nil.
14) Candidates belonging to reserved categories should submit caste certificate issued by the competent authority in prescribed form, otherwise the application form will be rejected. Candidates belonging to the reserved category who are domiciled outside the Maharashtra State will be treated as Open Category candidates, as per G.R.No.CBC-1084/54577(1813)BCW-5, dt.1/11/1985 & Circular No. CBC-1688/(2829)/MAVAK-5, dt.29/7/1988.
15) The candidates who are already in service should apply through proper channel and bring NOC from the present employer if changed at the time of interview, otherwise protection of pay and previous services could not be considered. They should furnish all the relevant information regarding their present service, legal proceeding or complaint, court cases, criminal cases, disciplinary actions, if any, pending in r/o his/her existing appointment/services. The candidate furnishing incorrect or false information shall stand disqualified. Any changes in this information as and when occurred after the submission of application form till the completion of recruitment process should be brought to the notice of the University, failing which the University reserves the right to cancel the candidature and to debar him/her from all selections.
16) Except of the post of Dr.Shrikant Jichkar Memorial Research Centre, the incumbents shall be entitled to pension benefits as per new Defined Contributory Pension Scheme or existing pension scheme as per MCSR, 1982 prescribed by the Govt. of Maharashtra, as the case may be.

For appointment to the posts of Assistant Professor-The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters level and qualifying in the National Eligibility Test
(NET), or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test - SLET/SET), shall remain for the appointment of Assistant Professors. NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant
Professors in Universities / Colleges / Institutions. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions.
NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines for which
NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted. A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) will be required at the Masters level for those recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at the entry level of Assistant Professors.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and masters level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

- The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/ research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.

- All posts carry usual allowances and benefits as admissible under University rules in force from time to time, but pay and allowances will be paid after approval from the Joint Director Higher Education, Amravati to the appointment.

- Working knowledge in Marathi is desirable for all posts.
- (5)
- No original documents/certificates shall be attached with application. Attached copies of papers and documents or reprints of publications submitted with application will not be returned.

- The age of retirement as the case may be, shall be as prescribed by the State Government from time to time.
