1. DEAN OF AGRICULTURE

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors Degree in Agriculture b) Masters degree in any specialization of Agriculture c) Ph.D. Degree in any of the specializations of Agriculture d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension in

Agricultural Science, out of which atleast five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Director of Research or equivalent cadre. e) Significant professional achievements in his / her field of specialization.

DESIRABLE :

a) Experience of teaching UG and PG courses and guiding students in research programmes

b) Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering innovative academic and educational programmes.

c) Good knowledge of Telugu

NOTE :

The tenure of appointment is for a period of 5 years from the date of assumption of charge or till the attainment of 62 years of age whichever is earlier.

2. DEAN OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Engineering b) Masters Degree in any specialization of Agricultural Engineering c) Ph.D. Degree in any specialization of Agricultural Engineering & Technology. d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in teaching/research/extension in

Agricultural Engineering out of which at least five years of experience as Professor or its equivalent cadre. e) Significant professional achievement in his / her field of specialization by activity.

DESIRABLE :

a) Experience of Teaching Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students in the course credit system.

b) Knowledge and experience of organizing and administering educational programmes.

c) Good knowledge of Telugu

NOTE :

3. DEAN OF HOME SCIENCE

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors degree in Home Science from a recognized University b) Masters degree in any discipline of Home Science c) Ph.D. degree in any branch of Home Science. d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in teaching / research / extension in Home

Science, out of which, atleast five years should be as Professor or equivalent cadre. e) Significant professional achievements in her field of specialization / activity.

a) Experience of teaching Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Students in the course-credit system in home science

5. DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences b) Masters degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences c) Ph.D. degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences.

d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension in Agricultural Science, out of which atleast five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Director of Research or equivalent cadre.

e) Significant professional achievements in his / her field of specialization.

DESIRABLE :

a) Wide experience of student problems, management and placement.

b) Training and experience in organizing co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the students.

c) Good knowledge of Telugu

NOTE :

a) Agricultural Sciences include Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science

b) The term of appointment is for a period of 3 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.

6. DIRECTOR OF AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATIONS

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors Degree in Agriculture. b) Masters Degree in any discipline of Agriculture c) Ph.D. Degree in any discipline of Agriculture d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension in

Agriculture, out of which atleast five years should be as Professor/Principal Scientist / Associate Director of Research or equivalent cadre. e) Significant professional achievement in his field of specialization.

DESIRABLE :

a) Experience as part of duties in conducting basic / applied research of high quality as evidenced by published work / technologies developed and guiding PG students.

b) Knowledge and experience of Planning, Organizing and administering research programme.

c) Good knowledge of Telugu

The term of appointment is for a period of 5 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.

7. DIRECTOR OF EXTENSION

ESSENTIAL :

a) Bachelors degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences. b) Masters Degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences c) Ph.D. Degree any branch of Agricultural Sciences preferably in Agricultural Extension. d) A minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension in any

branch of Agricultural Science out of which at least Five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Director of Research or equivalent cadre. e) Significant professional achievements in his/her field of specialization.

DESIRABLE :

a) Knowledge and experience of planning, organizing and administering extension programmes.

b) Must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu.

NOTE :

a) Agricultural Sciences include Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science

b) The term of appointment is for a period of 5 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.

8. REGISTRAR

ESSENTIAL :

a) Any recognized post-graduate degree including Agriculture/Agricultural Engineering/Home Science/ Management from a recognized University.

b) A minimum of 20 years of experience, out of which 5 years of administrative experience in dealing with academic matters/Research and Extension Management/Service matters in a university/Institute of repute in a Department of Central or State Government / Public sector undertaking/ Scientific and Technical Councils like ICAR, CSIR, AICTE, etc.

c) Preference will be given to the candidates in the Professor Cadre.

DESIRABLE:

a) Candidates in professor or equivalent cadre with agricultural research/education/extension management background.

b) Candidates acquainted with government rules and regulations with reference to administrative/financial matters and personnel policies.

c) Good knowledge of Telugu

Notes:

  • The tenure of appointment of Registrar is for a period of 3 years irrespective of a candidates whether from teaching or non-teaching streams
  • The tenure is from the date of assumption of charge or till attainment of 60 years of age, whichever is earlier.
  • The age of superannuation for the candidates selected from teaching stream will be 62 years and the UGC scale of pay shall be protected. In such case, the tenure of appointment of 3 years is from the date of assumption of charge or till attainment of 62 years age whichever is earlier.

9. UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN ESSENTIAL:

a) A Masters degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations.

b) At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years experience as a College Librarian

c) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work

DESIRABLE:

  1. M. Phil / Ph.D degree in library science / Information Science / Documentation / achieves and manuscript-keeping.
  2. Good knowledge of Telugu

NOTE:

The term of appointment is for a period of 5 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years whichever is earlier.

10. CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS ESSENTIAL

a.
Bachelors Degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences
b.
Masters Degree in any branch of Agricultural
c.
Ph.D degree in any branch of Agricultural Sciences
d.
Minimum of twenty years of experience in Teaching / Research / Extension / Administration
e.
At least five years should be as Professor / Principal Scientist / Associate Dean or equivalent rank.

DESIRABLE:

i) Wide experience in setting & moderating the question papers & conduct of

examinations ii) Should have the experience in counseling of admissions iii) Good knowledge of Telugu

NOTE:

a) Agricultural Sciences include Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Home Science.

b) The term of appointment is for a period of 3 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years whichever is earlier.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. The University reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts advertised.
  2. A candidate can apply for any number of posts to which they are eligible. Separate application form should be submitted for each post.
  3. The discipline to which the Ph.D degree belongs to shall be decided based on the research work carried out by the candidate for his/her degree.
  4. For reckoning the required experience for the post, the experience in the concerned subject or disciplines in Teaching or Extension or Research shall only be considered as relevant experience.
  5. Certified copies of degree or provisional certificates and marks sheet / transcripts should be enclosed to the application. The originals should be brought at the time of interview.
  6. While filling up of the application

i) Under items No.15 & 16 (Meant for details of qualifications) the period of studies should be indicated clearly with date, month and year of joining and leaving studies. If any of the applicants did their M.Sc. or Ph.D. by research, it should be clearly indicated.

ii) Under item No. 17 (meant for employment record) the applicant should furnish the details of service rendered by the applicant in different cadres (i.e.) clearly, with date, month and year of appointment and scale of pay and pay drawn and also should indicate awarding of CAS/MERIT PROMOTIONS particulars clearly. The period of study during the service should be indicated clearly.

iii) Service rendered outside ANGRAU, if any, should be clearly indicated duly certified by the competent authority.

iv) Submit 5 sets of application along with 10 best Research Publications and other educational within the prescribed date.

  1. Applicants working outside ANGRAU should send their applications through proper channel so as to reach the University within the prescribed date.
  2. The in-service candidates of ANGRAU may send their advance copy of applications directly within the stipulated date and send another copy through proper channel duly certified by Heads of Stations for the information submitted in the application.

9. Applicants should appear for interview, when called, at their own cost.

10. Selected candidates will be governed by ANGRAU (conditions of service) Regulations 1965 and such other conditions as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.
