Applications in prescribed format are invited from Indian nationals for filling up the following Non-Teaching positions in Assam University. The vacancy positions/reservations etc are mentioned below.

Non-Teaching Positions, Assam University, Silchar Campus:

(1) Internal Audit Officer-1 (UR) (On deputation) (2) Assistant-1(OBC) (3) Hindi Translator-1 (UR) (4) Junior Engineer -1(UR) (5) Upper Division Clerk- 1(UR) (6) Laboratory Assistant-2(1-OBC,1-SC) (7) Lower Division Clerk-3(1-UR,1-OBC,1-PWD--Visually Handicapped (8) Library Attendant3(1-UR,1-OBC,1-SC) (9) Laboratory Attendant-6 (1-UR, 1- PWD-Loco motor disability/Cerebral Palsy one leg affected, 2-OBC, 1-SC, 1-ST.

Non-Teaching Positions , Assam University, Diphu Campus:

(1) Deputy Registrar- 1(UR) (2) Assistant Registrar- 1(UR) (3) Section Officer- 2(UR) (4) Personal Assistant- 1 (UR) (5) Lower Division Clerk- 1(UR) (6) Laboratory Attendant- 1(UR).

Candidates who applied earlier for the post at serial no-9 for Silchar Campus & for the post at serial no- 4, & 6 for Diphu Campus in response to the Employment Notification No. 4/2014 dated 19/11/2014 need not apply again. However, they may update their subsequent achievement in regard to their eligibility, if any. Further part of the aforesaid employment notification no-4/2014 dated 19/11/2014 for the post of Laboratory Assistant (2UR) at serial no-6 stands cancelled.

Last date for receipt of filled in application form is 13/ 09/ 2017. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay. Applications received after the last date of receipt of application form will be summarily rejected.

Mode of Selection: The mode of selection i.e. Selection through written test/Skill test/Viva-Voce etc shall be decided by Assam University & shall be notified accordingly.

Note: The medium of instruction in the University is English.

NB: UR-Unreserved, SC-Scheduled Caste, ST-Scheduled Tribe, OBC- Other Backward Classes., PWD- Persons with Disability.

Application fee: - Rs.500.00 for General & OBC Candidates. Candidates claiming reservation against SC/ST/PWD reserve vacancies need not to pay any application fees,, however such candidates have to pay Rs 100/- as charge towards postal expenses. Candidate shall clearly indicate/ mention the campus (i.e: Silchar/ Diphu) for which applied. The Candidate shall also have to clearly mentioned the category (i.e: UR/OBC/SC/ST/PWD) of the post for which applied. The filled in application form is to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribed with Post applied for & Campus with Advertisement no. etc to The Registrar, Assam University, Raja Rammohan Roy Administrative Building, Silchar788 011. Mode of Payment: Application fee has to be submitted through demand draft only, drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Assam University, Silchar payable at UCO Bank, Silchar (Branch Code 2005) or State Bank of India, Dorgakona (Branch Code 14260). Other mode of payment of application fee shall not be accepted.
