Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB funded research project entitled: Discovery of Novel Protocols for the Stereoselective Synthesis of Acetogenins and Analogs.
Objective of the Project: The work involves the total synthesis of acetogenins and their analogs by conventional organic synthesis protocols. Performing various organic transformations and purification of products by column chromatography and their characterization need to be performed by the selected candidate.
Eligibility:
M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry, with CSIR/UGC-NET or valid GATE Score.
Desirable: Experience in synthetic organic chemistry and purification techniques are encouraged to apply.
Stipend: The amount of JRF fellowship will be as per SERB norms and it is approximately Rs. 25,000 + 30% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided)
Duration: The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to a maximum of 3 years solely based on performance. The appointment is purely on temporary basis.
