The Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is a State University established by the Government of NCT of Delhi through Dr B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi Act, 2007. AUD is evolving as a multi-campus University of Delhi with focus on research, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in the social sciences and the humanities. AUD has its campuses at Kashmere Gate, Karampura & Lodhi Road and planning to establish other campuses at Dheerpur, Rohini and other locations in Delhi.

2. The University is looking for suitable professionals to the post of Senior Project Engineer (Civil)/ Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) on Contractual basis for a fixed tenure of three (03) years to undertake various Campus Development work in different campuses of the University as per details given below:

Note: (i) The eligible Officers who are working in Govt. Departments and Organizations may also apply for the above positions on deputation basis for which normal deputation rules will apply.

(ii) Superannuated Officers from Central Government/State Governments Department/PSU/Educational Institutions will also be considered for contractual employment in AUD upto the age of 65 years.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and other terms and conditions for the post are given below:

1. Senior Project Engineer (Civil) Essential Qualification:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with 60% marks.

Experience: 9 years after graduation. The applicant should have worked in planning and designing of large Institutional Campuses, Residential Colonies, Multi-storeyed Buildings, including services works. He/ She should be familiar with the softwares and tools for Contract Management. Preference will be given to those who are having experience of handling similar works in State/ Centre Department/ public sector organization/ educational Institutions etc.

Job Description: The incumbent will be part of the Campus Development Division of the University. He will be involved in the Project Management of setting up of the new campuses of the University. For the existing AUD campus, his duties will include preparation of estimates, tender documents, day to day supervision, preparation of bills and handing contractual matters.

Age Limit: 45 years for Contract and 55 years for Deputation (relaxable to deserving candidates).

2. Senior Project Engineer (Electrical) Essential Qualification:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks.

Experience: 9 years after graduation. The official should have experience in major services works like Electrical, Air-conditioning, Lifts, Fire fighting and fire alarm systems etc in large Institutional campuses, multi-storeyed buildings and residential colonies etc. He/ She should be familiar with the software and tools for Contract Management. Preference will be given to those who are having experience of handling similar works in State/ Centre Departments/ public sector organization/ educational Institutions etc.

Job Description:

For the existing AUD campus, his duties will include maintenance of electrical works, sub station, lifts, air conditioning system, pumps and fire fighting and alarm systems in residential, office buildings and other areas, including preparation of estimates, day-to-day supervision of works, recording of measurements and preparation of bills, etc.

Age Limit: 45 years for Contract and 55 years for Deputation (relaxable to deserving candidates).

1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. The University reserves the right not to fill up the vacancy as advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.

3. The above posts are project posts and co-terminus with the project under Campus Development Division and selected candidates cannot have any claim for permanent positions in AUD.

4. Other Backward Classes (OBCs) for the purpose of employment under the University, shall be the Castes, as notified by the Central Government in the Central List for Delhi and Castes defined as OBCs by the OBC Commission of Delhi and notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi from time to time.

2 5. Wherever experience is prescribed as minimum eligibility condition for a post, only post qualification experience shall be counted.

6. Candidates should possess the essential qualifications as on the closing date of application.

7. Working knowledge of latest computer applications and good communication skills are mandatory for all positions and the University reserves its right to test the skill of a candidate at the time of selection.

8. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience shall not entitle a candidate to be necessarily called for the test/interview.

9. Applicants who do not meet the qualifications given in this advertisement and/or incomplete applications will be rejected summarily.

10. Only short-listed candidates will be invited for test/interview.

11. Candidates serving in Government Departments/Organizations/Universities/ Public Sector Undertakings etc. are required to produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of test/interview if their applications are not routed through proper channel after submission of online application.

12. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

13. No interim correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the

University.

14. Any dispute with regard to this recruitment will be subject to the Courts/Tribunals having jurisdiction over Delhi.

3. Application fee of Rs.500/- is payable online through payment gateway. All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.
