PHYSICAL STANDARD: Physique Good, minimum height 167 Cms, Minimum weight 55 Kgs, Chest normal before expansion 81 Cms., minimum expansion 5 Cms., Eye Sight distant vision 6/6 with each eye without glasses, near vision N5 with each eye without glasses (visual evaluation is for each eye individually). Colour vision should be normal as determined by Ischiharas charts. Night blindness absent. Field of vision each eye should have full field of vision as determined by confrontation test. Hearing normal, Speech Normal and refractive error No refractive error is acceptable. Relaxation of 3 cms. in height and chest measurement and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed to hilly area candidates on production of bonafide certificate. However, minimum chest expansion must be 5 cms. No other relaxation will be allowed to any other category. DISQUALIFICATION : Knocking knee, bow legs. Degree of squint, flat footed, physical deformity, suffering from chronic disease, any major operation by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in Fire Service has been impaired will be considered as disqualification. Physical Endurance Test running, rope & pole climbing, Casualty Lifting & Ladder Climbing etc. Driving test The job knowledge of vehicle & road discipline, checking of vehicle before driving and after stopping and followed by driving test. Training : The candidates will be given training on Crash Fire Tender (CFT). The candidates who do not qualify the CFT test will not be appointed Experience in Fire Fighting and rescue operations desirable. Only male candidates can apply. |

Jr. Asstt. (Fire) : The selection shall be done through physical measurements, written test, driving test, physical endurance test and interview. AAI will not be responsible for any injury caused during the course of test.
Jr. Attnd. (EnggElect)/Jr.Attndt.(Engg.Civil)/:The selection shall be made on the Jr.Attndt.(E&M) basis of Interview and Trade test

Age Relaxation:

Disability of applicants applying against the quota reserved for the physically challenged persons should not be less than 40%.

Besides basic pay, DA, CCA, HRA other benefits such as Medical, LTC, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, PF, etc. admissible as per AAI rules also will be paid.

All Degree/Diploma/Certificates should be from University/Institute recognized and approved by AICTE/ State Boards.

A copy of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged certificate from a competent authority shall necessarily be submitted by the candidates to belong to any particular category.

Those covered under Honble Guwahati High Court Order Wp (c) No. 612 of 1999 shall be considered subject to the fulfilment of conditions of recruitment and also about relaxation of their age. Such employees while forwarding their application should specifically indicate that they are covered under Honble Guwahati High Court Order. An indication may also be made in the envelope superscribing that application is forwarded as per court order.

Employees of Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Body should forward their application Through Proper Channel or furnish NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE at the time of written test / trade test / interview. In case of lien, it may specifically be indicated in the application itself in clear terms.

Application/terms & conditions are published in AAI, NER-website. The prescribed application format may be downloaded from the AAI NER website while applying for the post. The prescribed application format along with three passport size photographs out of which one pasted on the top right hand corner of the prescribed application and duly attested by the Gazetted Officer and other two photographs may be attached along with the application to the Regional Executive Director (NER), Airports Authority of India, LGBI Airport, Guwahati-781015 within the prescribed time limit.

Incomplete/incorrect/un-signed applications or applications without photos and copies of documents duly attested by a gazetted officer will be rejected without any further correspondence.

Canvassing in any form or bringing influence will be treated as a disqualification.

The Written / Trade Test & Interview will be held at Guwahati.

The eligibility with respect to age, experience, etc. will be determined as on 27.03.2009. The candidates who have appeared in the final degree exam before the last date of receipt of applications can also apply. However, their candidature will be provisional subject to their acquiring the prescribed qualifications before the written examination / interview as the case may be.

Airports Authority of India will have full discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks and other eligibility criteria.

In case of Group C posts, only those candidates who secure in the written examination the minimum qualifying mark and other eligibility criteria as may be fixed by Airports Authority of India at its discretion, would be eligible to be called for trade test/interview.

In case of Group D posts, only those candidates who secure in the interview/personality test/trade test (wherever applicable) the minimum qualifying marks and other eligibility criteria as may be fixed by Airports Authority of India at its discretion, would be eligible for appointment.

Candidates will have the option to use Hindi or English in answering the question papers (except paper in English, if any).

The management has the discretion not to fill any vacancies & the vacancy position shown above may also change depending upon the requirement.

Candidates selected are likely to be posted on shift duties on round the clock basis wherever applicable.
