Walk-in-Interview

The Central University of Jharkhand is looking for engagement of Assistant Professor (Temporary), Centre for Energy Engineering. The engagement shall be purely temporary in nature. Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 35,000/- (Rupees Thirty five thousand only) will be paid per month. These details are as under.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:

As per UGC Regulation 2010

i. First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech.) in Power system/ Mechanical Engineering / Energy Management/ Energy Engineering, or Equivalent branch with B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered

Desirable:

1. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;

2. Papers presented at conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Relaxation clause:

1. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Differently-able (Physically and visually differently-able)/Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic records during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

2. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

3. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

4. Since it is the temporary vacancy candidate will not have any right for regular post.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITION

1. Interested Candidates may come with filled in application form available (application form in University website: www.cuj.ac.in ) bio-data including all original documents (also bring a photocopy of the documents self attested) with two color photographs.

2. Candidates registered for the Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall submit a certificate in accordance with the University Grants Commission on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education (3rd Amendment), Regulations, 2016 (Annexure II).

3. CUJ reserves the right to cancel all and / or any centre Walk-in-Interview without assigning any reason thereof.

4. No TA/DA or accommodation shall be provided for attending the interview.

5. Interview may continue for next day depending upon the circumstances, hence the candidate may come prepared accordingly.

6. Interview date and time are tentative and may change which shall be notified from time to time in CUJ website, In case of such change.

7. The number of vacancies indicated in the Advertisement notification is tentative. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of post, at the time of selection.

8. In case suitable candidates are not available, candidates from other category shall be considered in view of urgent requirement of the Teachers for running the Academic session.

9. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC and PH for all posts exists as per the guidelines of the UGC/GoI. Candidates appearing for the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong to. They must also enclose attested Photostat copy of Caste Certificate/Medical Certificate issued from the concerned competent authorities.

10. Candidates belonging to OBC category should submit proper caste certificate as per the proforma of Govt. of India and should be among other specially mention that he/she does not belong to the persons/sections (creamy layer) as mentioned in col. 3 of the schedule to the Dept. of Personnel & Training in the Govt. of India OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt. 11. In case of any disputes/suites or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be University restricted to the Courts of Ranchi.

12. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of engagement letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates.

13. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves beforehand that they possess the minimum essential qualification laid down in the advertisement.

14. Addendum/ deletion/ corrigendum (if any) shall be posted on the University website only.

The number of vacancy may increase or decrease as per the discretion of the competent authority.
