The Central University of Jharkhand is looking for appointment of Guest faculties as per UGC norms at various Centres. The appointment shall be purely temporary in nature. Honorarium Rs. 1000/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 25,000/- per month.

Minimum Qualification

1.

Centre for Energy Engineering

i. First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology in Power system/ Mechanical Engineering / Energy Management/ Energy Engineering, or Equivalent branch with B.E./B.Teach. in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
a. Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
b. Papers presented at conferences and / or in refereed journals.

2.

Centre Management Studies

i. First Class Masters Degree in Business Management/ Administration/ in a relevant Management related discipline or first class in two year full time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU/ Accredited by the AICTE/UGC

OR

ii. First Class graduate and professionally qualified Charted Accountant /Coast and Works Accountant/ Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies.

Desirable Qualification:

i. Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and General Management area.)
ii. Teaching, research, industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;
iii. Papers presented at Conferences and / or published in refereed journals.

Centre for Life Sciences

i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in i. and ii, candidates,
who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

4.

Centre for Far East Language

i. Chinese
ii. Korean
i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in i and ii candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
v. For candidates not holding PG degree in relevant Language/ Studies.

Applied Physics

i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in ii, candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Nanotechnology

Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech).

ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in i and ii, candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.

Water Engineering & Management

i. First Class Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology (Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/Water Resources Development/Soil & Water Conservation Engg./ Structural Engg. / Hydraulics/ Hydrology/Geotechnical Engg.) OR Integrated M.Tech in
Water Engineering and Management with B.Tech (Agricultural/Civil Engineering)
ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable:
v. i) Teaching, research industrial and / or professional experience in a reputed organization;

ii) Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.

Desirable: Ph.D. (agricultural Engg./Soil Water Engg./Civil

Engg. Water Engineering and Management/Water Resources

Development.

Environmental Sciences

i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the masters degree level in M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Sc. (Tech) in Environmental Sciences. from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in i and ii, candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Desirable Qualification:

Preference will be given to the NET & Ph.D. candidates with specialization in i. Ecology, ii. Hydrology & Water Resource Management, iii. Environmental Assessment/mining safety, iv. Environmental Biotechnology.

Education (Core Subject)

1. A masters degree in the arts/ humanities and M.Ed (from institution recognized by NCTE) each with 55% marks (or an equivalent degree in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in concerned subject.
2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications the candidate must have cleared the NET conducted by UGC/ CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC life SLET/ SET in the subject of education.
3. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D degree in accordance with university grant commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for award of Ph.D degree) regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility for recruitment and appointment of assistant professor or equivalent positions in the universities/ colleges/ institutes.
4. NET/SLET/ SET shall not be required for masters program in such disciplines also for which these are not conducted.

Education

(i) Political Science

(ii) Geography

(iii) English
