ADVERTISEMENT for Pilots/Co-Pilots on Contract Basis

Applications are invited by Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit from eligible candidates to fly Airports Authority of India's Dornier DO-228 and Super King Air B300/350 Flight Calibration aircrafts as contract Pilot / Co-Pilot. Application should accompany self attested copies of certificate, license etc.

Last date of receipt of application is 28th December 2015 Eligibility

Pilot (PI)

  1. Should be Indian National residing in India.

  2. Should Hold a valid and current ATPL on Dornier DO-228/B-350 aircraft.

  3. Minimum flying experience of 1000 Hrs out of which 500 Hrs should be on type.

  4. Should Holds valid and current IR, RTR (A), Medical.

  5. Should be less than 60 years of age during the commitment period.

Co-Pilot (P-II)

  1. Should be Indian National residing in India.

  2. Should hold a valid and current CPL on Dornier Do-228/SKA B300 aircraft.

  3. Minimum flying experience of 500 Hrs and out of which 200 Hrs should be on type .

  4. Should Holds valid and current IR, RTR (A), Medical.

  5. Should be less than 60 years of age during the commitment period.

Remuneration

Pilot (PI)

  • Minimum Assured Flying allowance for 30 hours shall be paid per month during the contracted period, subject to deduction of TDS as per rules

  • No Minimum Assured Flying allowance shall be payable for the month in which Pilot refuses to fly for reasons other than due to acute personal requirement such as self hospitalization or bereavement in the family, subject to approval of competent authority (Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit).

  • 4,500/- ( Four Thousand Five Hundred only) per flying hour.

  • Hotel accommodation as per entitlement of GM scale at outstations (Except Delhi).

  • 1,500/-( One Thousand Five Hundred only) per day towards incidental charges like Telephone, Transport whenever assigned for flying duties. This shall also be payable in case the Pilot arrives at airport to undertake Calibration flight and the flight is cancelled due circumstances beyond his control like bad weather, technical snag in aircraft etc.

Co-Pilot (P-II)

  • Minimum Assured Flying allowance for 30 hours shall be paid per month during the contracted period ,subject to deduction of TDS as per rules

  • No Minimum Assured Flying allowance shall be payable for the month in which Pilot refuses to fly for reasons other than due to acute personal requirement such as self hospitalization or bereavement in the family, subject to approval of competent authority (Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit).

  • 3,500/- ( Four Thousand Five Hundred only) per flying hour.

  • Hotel accommodation as per entitlement of Jt.GM scale at outstations (Except Delhi).

  • 1,000/-( One Thousand Five Hundred only) per day towards incidental charges like Telephone, Transport whenever assigned for flying duties. This shall also be payable in case the Pilot arrives at airport to undertake Calibration flight and the flight is cancelled due circumstances beyond his control like bad weather, technical snag in aircraft etc.

Terms and Conditions

  • During Contract period the pilot / Co-pilot shall always make himself available for AAI Calibration flying. AAI flying shall always have priority. Pilot / Co-Pilot are required to intimate and get approval from the Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit, AAI, to fly for outside agencies for currency of his license or to log extra flying hours for completing minimum flying hours for revalidation of license.

  • The activities for maintaining validity of license and IR/ Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot / Co-pilot however, the fees/charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis.

  • Pilot / Co-Pilot must submit his Log Book, License, Medical in original for scrutiny at the time of personal interview and every month to the Executive Director and / or designated officer.

  • No CPF, Gratuity shall be admissible to the Pilot / Co-Pilot.

  • Fixed Flying allowance / Honorarium shall be withdrawn for the period during which the Pilot / Co-Pilot is grounded or his license is invalid / withdrawn. When Pilot / Co-Pilot is involved in an accident / incident and is grounded or his license is withdrawn, till such time he is absolved of all charges by t he regulatory authority / Court of Inquiry.

  • The currency of license and IR/ Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot / Co-pilot however, the fees/charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis.

  • Individual PA / LOL Insurance shall be made by AAI during the currency of contract ( Commitment Period) .

  • The Pilot / Co-Pilot hereby agrees to serve the Authority for a minimum period of Two year from the Date of Joining ("Commitment Period") and his/her services may be extended further on mutually agreed terms and conditions.

  • In case the Pilot leaves the Authority before completion of commitment period as above, he / she shall be liable to pay to the Authority cost of all Checks towards currency of license and IR/ Medical etc.

  • Shall appear for personal interview at assigned date and time at his own cost at New Delhi and furnish his Original Documents for scrutiny.

  • The selected Pilot / Co-Pilot shall enter into an agreement with Airports Authority of India on Non Judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/-.

  • Shall monitor and observe his FDTL as per DGCA rules.

  • AAI reserves the right to terminate the services of Pilot/Co-Pilot without assigning any reason, by giving one month notice or one month pay.

The selected candidates shall be reporting to Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit, Airports Authority of India or any officer nominated by Executive Director, FIU, AAI.
