Applications are invited by Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit from eligible Pilots-in Command to fly Airports Authority of India's Dornier DO-228 Flight Calibration aircrafts on contract basis for a period of two years.. Application should accompany self attested copies of certificate, license etc.
Last date of receipt of application is 15/02/2013
Eligibility
1 The applicant Pilot should be Indian National residing in India.
2 Applicant Pilot must hold a valid and current ATPL on Dornier DO-228 aircraft with minimum flying experience of 1000 Hrs out of which 500 Hrs should be on type.
3 Holds valid and current IR, RTR (A), Medical etc to fly DO-228.
4. Should be less than 60 years of age as on 15/02/2013 and should be less than 60 years of age during the contracted period.

In case the Pilot is required to undergo mandatory skill test on type of aircraft of AAI he has to deposit and amount of
- 20 Lakhs (non refundable) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Airports Authority of India, payable at New Delhi towards the expenses to be incurred towards his checks.

- During Contract period the Pilot shall always make him self available for AAI Calibration flying. AAI flying shall always have priority. Pilot is required to intimate and get approval from the Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit, AAI, to fly for outside agencies for currency of his license or to log extra flying hours for completing minimum flying hours for revalidation of license.
- The activities for maintaining validity of license and IR / Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot. However, the fees / charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis.
- Pilot must submit his Log Book, License and Medical in original for scrutiny at the time of personal interview and every month to the Executive Director and / or designated officer.
- No CPF, Gratuity shall be admissible to the Pilot.

- Minimum Assured flying allowance shall be withdrawn for the period during which the Pilot is grounded or his license is invalid / withdrawn due to involvement in an accident / incident and is grounded or his license is withdrawn, till such time he is absolved of all charges by the regulatory authority / Court of Inquiry.
- The currency of license and IR / Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot. However, the fees / charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis.
- Individual PA / LOL Insurance shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot (LOL/PA etc.) and no payment shall be made by AAI on this account.
- The Pilot hereby agrees to serve the Authority for a minimum period of Two years from the Date of Joining ("Commitment Period"). In case the Pilot leaves the Authority before completion of Two years period as above, he / she shall be liable to pay to the Authority cost of Checks, (Approximately
20 Lacs) on pro-rata basis.
- Shall appear for personal interview at assigned date and time at his own cost at New Delhi and furnish his Original Documents for scrutiny.
- The selected Pilot shall enter into an agreement with Airports Authority of India on Non Judicial stamp paper of
100/-.
Main Responsibilities of Pilot

The Pilot on contract shall always make him available for flying as per requirements of Airports Authority of India and carry his documents to utilize the privileges of his license during flight as per DGCA rules.
- Shall monitor and observe his FDTL as per DGCA rules.
- Shall be responsible for his PA/ LOL insurance and no payment shall be made by AAI on this account.
- The currency of his ATPL / CPL license and IR, Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot. However, the fees / charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis subject to production of Bill / Invoice.

Responsibilities of AAI
a) Minimum Assured Flying allowance for 50 hours shall be paid per month during the contracted period, subject to deduction of TDS as per rules.
No Minimum Assured Flying allowance shall be payable for the month in which Pilot refuses to fly for reasons other than due to acute personal requirement such as self hospitalization or bereavement in the family, subject to approval of competent authority (Executive Director, Flight Inspection Unit).
(b). 4,500/- ( Four Thousand Five Hundred only) per flying hour.
(c). Hotel accommodation as per entitlement of GM scale at outstations (Except Delhi).
(d). 1,500/-( One Thousand Five Hundred only) per day towards incidental charges like Telephone, Transport whenever assigned for flying duties. This shall also be payable in case the Pilot arrives at airport to undertake Calibration flight and the flight is cancelled due circumstances beyond his control like bad weather, technical snag in aircraft etc.
The currency of license and IR / Medical etc., shall be the responsibility of the individual Pilot however, the fees / charges shall be reimbursed by AAI on actual basis.
