Qualification and Experience

Should be able to rectify starting troubles and should have at least elementary knowledge of repairs. Candidates possessing the higher qualifications of 10 + 2 will be given suitable weightage. Desirable: Knowledge of local language / Hindi / English EXPERIENCE Should have at least 2 years experience of driving heavy vehicles. Persons with additional experience of driving / operating earth mover equipments will be preferred. Eye Sight Distant vision of 6/6 with each eye without glasses. Near vision N5 with each eye with or without glasses. (Visual evaluation is for each eye individually) Colour vision should be normal with as determined by Ischihara charts. AGE LIMIT (AS ON 27.03.2009)

Sr. Asstt. (Steno) / Sr. Asst. (TM) /Sr. Asstt. (Fin)/Jr. Asstt. (MTD) / Jr. Asstt. (O) :Maximum age 30 years Jr. Attd. (Engg Civil) / Jr. Attd. (Office) :Maximum age 27 Years GENERAL:

    1. Age Relaxation: i) Upto a Maximum of 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates ii) Upto a Maximum of 03 years in the case of OBC candidates. iii) Upper age limit for Physically Challenged persons by 5 years (10 years for SCs/STs and 8 years
    2. for OBCs) iv) In case of ExServiceman, service rendered in the Armed Forces plus 03 years.
  1. Disability of applicants applying against the quota reserved for the physically challenged persons should not be less than 40%.
  2. Besides basic pay, DA, CCA, HRA other benefits such as Medical, LTC, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, PF, etc. admissible as per AAI rules also will be paid.
  3. All Degree/Diploma/Certificates should be from University/Institute recognized and approved by AICTE/ State Boards.
  4. A copy of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged certificate from a competent authority shall necessarily be submitted by the candidates to belong to any particular category.
  5. Those covered under Honble Guwahati High Court Order Wp (c) No. 612 of 1999 shall be considered subject to the fulfilment of conditions of recruitment and also about relaxation of their age. Such employees while forwarding their application should specifically indicate that they are covered under Honble Guwahati High Court Order. An indication may also be made in the envelope superscribing that application is forwarded as per court order.
  6. Employees of Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Body should forward their application Through Proper Channel or furnish NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE at the time of written test / trade test / interview. In case of lien, it may specifically be indicated in the application itself in clear terms.
  7. Candidates applying for more than one post should apply separately.
  8. Applications received after the last date shall be rejected without any further correspondence. AAI will not be responsible for any postal delay.
  9. Incomplete/incorrect/unsigned applications or applications without photos and copies of documents will be rejected without any further correspondence.
  10. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence will be treated as a disqualification.
  11. The Written / Trade Test & Interview will be held at Guwahati.
  12. The eligibility with respect to age, experience, etc. will be determined as on 27.03.2009. The candidates who have appeared in the final degree exam before the last date of receipt of applications can also apply. However, their candidature will be provisional subject to their acquiring the prescribed qualifications before the written examination / interview as the case may be.
  13. Airports Authority of India will have full discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks and other eligibility criteria.
  14. In case of Group C posts, only those candidates who secure in the written examination the minimum qualifying mark and other eligibility criteria as may be fixed by Airports Authority of India at its discretion, would be eligible to be called for trade test/interview.
  15. In case of Group D posts, only those candidates who secure in the interview/personality test/trade test (wherever applicable) the minimum qualifying marks and other eligibility criteria as may be fixed by Airports Authority of India at its discretion, would be eligible for appointment.
