Recruitment Drive to the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Services) Last date for receipt of application 15.07.2011

Applications are invited from the candidates who are Domicile of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) NE 4 at various airports in the above states in North Eastern Region. Total number of posts likely to be filled is 53 and the reservation are SC Nil, ST 07, OBC 07, UR 39. (Vacancies may vary). The eligibility criteria for the posts are as follows:

1	Age	1. 18 to 30 years as on 13 08 2010
2	Educational Qualification	I. A pass in 10 + 2 or equivalent qualification from recognized University / Board as on 13/08/2010. II. Should possess valid heavy driving license as on 13 08 2010.
3	Desirable	ITI/Sub-Officer Course/Experience in any Fire Service/BTC Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment.
Eye sight	Distance vision 6/6 at both eyes without glasses. Near vision N5 in both eyes without glasses. Colour vision should be normal as determined by Ischiharas Charts.
Height	Not less than 167 cm.
Chest	81 cm normal. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
4	Physical Fitness	(Relaxation by 3 cm in height / chest and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed for candidates belonging to hilly area on production of Bonafide certificate. However minimum chest expansion must be 5 cms).
Weight	Not less than 55 kg
Hearing	Normal
Speech	Normal
Must not have undergone major operation by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in fire service has been impaired. Should be capable of undergoing physical strain for prolonged periods.
Disqualification	Physical deformity, chronic diseases, colour blindness, night blindness, squint eye, flat foot, bow legs, knocking knee, and refractive error will be considered as disqualification.
5	Pay Scale	`12500 28500/- and other allowances as per rules (Revised)

Other conditions are as follows:

1	Appointment to above mentioned posts are subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions and successful passing of Basic Training Course for a period of four months.
2	During training, incumbent is entitled for stipend as per the rules.
3	The candidates will have to appear for test/interview at their own expenses. Only those candidates who qualify in the written exam will be allowed to appear in physical measurement test. The candidates will be allowed to appear in driving test/physical endurance test subject to qualifying the physical measurement test. The candidates will be allowed to appear in Interview subject to qualifying Driving Test/Physical Endurance Test. SC / ST candidates called for interview will be paid 2nd class rail fare as per rules.
4	The eligibility with regards to age, qualification, HMV license will be determined as on 13th August, 2010.
5	Employees of Govt./Public Sector undertaking should forward the application through proper channel.
6	Canvassing in any manner and bringing outside influence shall make the candidature liable for rejection.
7	The authority reserves the right to restrict the number & candidates to be called for test / interview on the basis of any other norms decided by the authority at a later date.
8	The management reserves the right / has the discretion not to fill any vacancy and to change the vacancy position depending upon the requirement.
9	Applications received after due date and incomplete applications shall be summarily liable to be rejected.
10	Applications were invited vide our Advertisement dated:15/08/2010 subsequent extension advertisement dated :28/08/2010 for recruitment to the post of Jr. Asstt. (FS). The written exam held on 06/02/2011 at Lilabari stands cancelled due to administrative reasons.
11	The candidates who have applied with reference to our earlier Advertisement dated:15/08/2010 subsequent extension advertisement dated :28/08/2010 and were eligible (whether appeared or not in the Written Exam held on 06/02/2011 at Lilabari) would be allowed exemption in fees as well as age relaxation, and will be considered for Written Test without any fresh application.

How to Apply:

1	Candidates fulfilling the above conditions may submit their application in Hindi/English to THE REGIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA, NORTH EASTERN REGION, LGBI AIRPORT, GUWAHATI, ASSAM (the envelope should be superscripted by the name of the post applied for) alongwith a Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) (non refundable) drawn in favour of Airports Authority of India, payable at Guwahati so as to reach on or before 15-07-2011. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. The application form may be downloaded from AAI website www.airportsindia.org.in
2	The application should accompany the following documents: i) Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- as explained above. (other than SC/ST candidates) ii) Four recent passport size photographs, one affixed on application duly attested in front and other three stapled and attested on backside. iii) Attested photocopies of Certificates regarding Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, HMV license (full copy) *i.e. alongwith all renewal records and also indicating the date of initial issue of LMV License and date of obtaining HMV license*, proof of caste (wherever applicable), Bonafide Certificate for Candidate belonging to hilly areas, etc.
3	The application must be complete in all respects failing which it will be summarily rejected and no communication shall be made in this regard.
