DIRECTOR (DISTRIBUTION)

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (WBSEDCL) , (a Govt. of West Bengal Enterprise) is engaged in the business of distribution of electricity and hydro generation of power in the State of West Bengal having annual turnover of more than' 17,000 crore.

The Company invites application from experienced professional with impeccable performance record, outstanding professional competence and demonstrable leadership traits for the post of Director (Distribution). The role demands up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of Electricity Act , 2003, Distribution system and experience of closely working with the Central I State Government. The position requires day to day reporting to the Chairman and Managing Director.

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Electrica l Engineering

Experience: Candidates should have at least 25 years of relevant experience with at least one year at the level of two steps below the Board of Directors such as Chief Engineer/ General Manager or equivalent and above as on 01st May, 2017 in Government sectors/PSUs/ CPSUs or similar reputed private sector organizations. Working experience in power Distribution and Transtnission sector is desirable.

Age : Maximum 62 year s as on 01.01.2017.

Tenure of Appointment: The position is on contract basis for a duration of 3 years with the condition of performance review at the end of each year , linked to review of the contract.

Compensation:(I) The post carries the Pay in the Pay Band of ' 37,400-67 ,000 with Grade

pay of' 10,000/- plus Dearness Allowance , House Rent Allowance , Electricity Allowance and

Medical Allowance, Leave Travel concession , free hospitalization benefit at reputed Hospitals and chauffeur driven car at the Company's cost for official work.

1. In case of candidates commg from PSU/ CPSU, pay protection with a suitable enhancement may be considered while fixing the pay in the pay scale.

2. In case of candidates coming from private sector, emoluments corresponding to the minimum basic pay in the band would be offered. However, in case of specially deserving candidates, pay may be negotiated to be fixed with certain e,nhancement at a point within the range of the pay band.

3. In case of candidates beyond 60 years of age, emoluments would be fixed m the following manner:

   1. On the last drawn pay minus pension/ notional pension basis , if the person has superannuated from a PSU/CPSU.

   2. At a negotiated emolument if the person has superannuated from a reputed private sector organisation.
