1. THE INSTITUTE

The Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT),established by the Reserve Bank of India, is the premier Institute of Banking Technology in the country.

The Institute spearheads efforts in providing state-of-the-art technologies for the Indian Banking and Financial Sector by interfacing Research and Development, Academics, Executive Education, Practice and Consultancy. Right from enabling creation of Banking Technology Infrastructure, engaging in Applied Development and Research, to moulding specialised Banking Technology Talent, IDRBT leads the technology transformation ofthe Indian Banking and Financial Sector.

2. THE REQUIREMENT

The Institute invites applications for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO isexpected to (a) lead the consultancy activities of the Institute (b) spearhead the development of technology infrastructure in the Institute, especially the research centres

(c) contribute to the Institutes initiatives in enabling the adoption of right technologies in the Indian Banking and Financial Sector and (d) coordinate with IFTAS, the company promoted by the Institute.

The right candidate shall be a hands-on person, who can plan, conceptualise, strategise and implement various new and emerging banking technologies. S/he shall be a mature and experienced person, in the age bracket of 57 to 62 years, with the ability to work intechnical teams cohesively and effectively, ready to meet challenges and have a combination of proven technical competence and operational experience in similar positions. S/he should have at least served as a General Manager Information Technology or allied areas in a big reputed bank.

Candidates should have a good academic background, be a Post Graduate and preferablybe a member of professional IT-related bodies. S/he should have worked directly inBanking-IT related areas/projects involving IT Policy and Planning, Financial Networks and Applications, Financial Information Systems, Cyber Security Technologies, Payment

and Settlement Systems, IS Audit, identifying the right and emerging Banking Technologies, etc., for about a decade, of which at least five years should be at the senior management level.

3. THE TERM

The selection would result in a contractual appointment for a period of three years.

4. THE COMPENSATION

The position, based at Hyderabad, offers an all-inclusive Annual CTC in the range ofRs 18 (Eighteen) lakh to Rs 21 (Twenty One) Lakh.
