1. No. of Vacancies : 03 [(DT/NT-01, OBC-01 & Open 01)]

   Note: The number of vacancy is provisional and likely to change. Such change will not be notified either in Newspaper, on website or to the candidates.

2. Scale of Pay: Rs. 48890-2150-94040. The selected candidates are entitled to DA, HRA, Medical Benefit, Leave Encashment, CPF and Gratuity etc. as per the Rules of the Company. Approximate emoluments at initial stage of scale are Rs. 1,40,000/-. In addition to this, facilities like vehicle, telephone, mobile facility etc. will be provided by the Company.

3. Pre-requisites:

   Qualification : Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

   / Technology or its equivalent. Preferable: Two years full time or three years part time Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Management/ Administration with specialization in Marketing / Finance OR Degree in Law.

   Experience: Must possess 20 years post qualification experience in Power Sector. At least 5 years experience should have been in a position having high responsibility such as Superintending Engineer and above, out of which 1 year in a position such as Chief Engineer/ Head of the Department or its equivalent in Power Sector.

   Method of filling : By direct recruitment on contract basis for a maximum period of 3 years. Beyond 3 years, these posts to be evaluated and decision be taken.

   Note (i) : Over and above 10% weightage to be given to departmental candidate for every stage of selection process i.e. like In-basket exercises, Presentation, Group Discussion, Interview etc. while shortlisting and drawing select list subject to limit of maximum marks.

   Note (ii) : The departmental candidate possessing Degree in Engineering/ Technology in any other discipline and who fulfill the condition of required experience shall be considered under direct recruitment provided that they will have to be appeared for Group Discussion etc., consisting of syllabus of Electrical Engineering and compete along with other candidates.

   Note (iii) : A Degree & Diploma should be from a University or Institute in India established or incorporated under Central Act or a State Act or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto.

   Note (iv) : Experience means post qualification experience i.e. experience acquired after possessing essential qualifications.

   Note (v) : Equivalency of outside candidates will be compared/decided on the basis of gross emoluments drawn (other than perks) and job responsibilities.

   Note (vi): Pre-requisites are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate to be called for selection process. The candidates will be shortlisted commensurate with the number of vacancies. The post advertisement is of senior level position.

4. Upper Age Limit : 52 years.

   1. Upper age limit for MSEDCL departmental candidate is 57 years.

   2. Date of birth as per Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and age as on 16.03.2017 should be mentioned in the application.

5. Methodology of Selection:

   1. The candidates will be shortlisted for selection process taking into consideration the qualification, experience, job responsibility etc.

   2. The departmental candidates of MSEDCL will be given preferential weightage while drawing the select list.

   3. The list of applicants shortlisted for selection process will be intimated through email only.

   4. The recruitment in MSEDCL is done strictly as per merit in a systematic way giving appropriate weightage to various selection tools.

   5. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.

   6. If any false/incorrect information i s furnished by the candidate is detected at any stage of recruitment process, his/her candidature will not be considered and if detected afterwards, the appointment shall be cancelled.

   7. If the candidate knowingly or willfully furnishes incorrect or false particulars or suppresses material information, he/she will be disqualified and if appointed, shall be liable for dismissal from the Companys service without any notice or assigning any reasons whatsoever.

   8. The decision of the Company in all matters relating to the recruitment shall be final and no individual correspondence will be entertained.

   9. The selection of Departmental candidates will be subject to verification of disciplinary actions and vigilance enquiries in-process/contemplated and other service records. The decision of the Company in this regard shall be final and no individual representations will be entertained.

6. TimeSchedule:

   3. The Company reserves the right to cancel the Advertisement fully or partly on any grounds and such decision of the Company will not be notified or intimated to the candidates.

7. Application Fee

   1. Candidates shall pay the requisite fee of Rs. 600/- by way of Demand Draft in favour of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited payable at Mumbai as below:

   3. In case the selection process could not be conducted for any reason, the fees paid will not be refunded.

8. Procedure to apply:

   1. Candidates applying for the post advertised shall ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria. Their admission to all the stages of the recruitment process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria mentioned in this advertisement.

   2. This advertisement is published subject to the provisions of Maharashtra Civil Services (declaration of Small Family) Rules, 2005, prescribing declaration of the small family as one of the essential qualifications.

   3. Employees working in Govt. / Semi. Govt. Undertaking will have to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

   4. Applications received after due date will not be entertained. The Company is not responsible for postal delay. The candidates are advised to keep photocopy of the Application posted.

   6. 9. How to Apply:

3. The list of candidates called for selection process and selected for the post advertised will be intimated through email only.

4. Prescribed qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate to be called for Interview. The candidates will be short-listed for interview commensurate with the number of vacancies.

5. The preliminary scrutiny of the applications will be carried out and only shortlisted candidates with the benchmark to be decided by the Selection Committee will be called for the selection process. Mere possession of the qualification does not entitle to be considered for calling to the selection process.
