1. South Eastern Railway will engage Contract Medical Practitioners on full time contract basis on the following terms and conditions: -

  1. NUMBER OF POSTS Total-24(Twenty four) (Community wise break up:-UR-12 , SC-04, ST-02, OBC 06) General Duty 17 (seventeen) [ KGP-09, CKP-04, ADA-04] Specialist-7( seven):-General Surgeon 01 for KGP Physician 03 for KGP,CKP & ADA Anesthetist -01 for CKP Orthopedic Surgeon 01 for CKP Ophthalmologist-01 for CKP
  2. PROBABLE LOCATION Different places of Kharagpur, Chakradharpur & ADRA divisions over South Eastern Railway.

N.B: The location, as well as the number of vacancies is liable to change as per administrative need.

Educational Qualification:

a) For specialists: -MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the respective field of the specialty. b) For General Duty: MBBS.

Note: -Doctors who have appeared/appearing for Post Graduation Degree/Diploma may also appear before the selection committee for consideration of selection on provisional basis.

All the candidates must be registered with MCI and the qualifications must be recognized by MCI

**For Retired Government Medical Officers

(of State Government and Central

Government)

* If Govt. accommodation is provided, an amount equivalent to the sum of HRA & license fee of the accommodation so provided shall be deducted from the monthly remuneration. One set 1st class complementary Railway pass for self and family during each contractual year shall be issued after 03 months continuous service. Daily rate of reduction from the fees for excess absence will be made as per extant rules. ** Subject to the condition that remuneration+ pension drawn by Retired Government Medical Officers (of State Government and Central Government) should not exceed the last pay drawn at the time of retirement.

5. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The engagement will be on full time contract basis for an initial period of one year or till replaced by UPSC selected doctors, whichever is earlier.
  2. The contract is liable to be terminated by giving two weeks notice by either side, without assigning any reasons, or if the Contract Medical Practitioner is mentally/physically incapacitated. The contract appointment shall not confer upon any right for regularization or absorption in future.
  3. a) A candidate should not exceed 50 years of age as on 01.01.2014, (5 yrs. age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 yrs. for OBC)

(b) Age limited for Retired Government Medical Officer: -upto 65 years (as on 01.01.14).

The willing candidates may report for the WALK IN INTERVIEW to the above mentioned venue at 10.00 hours, with an application ( Format of application i.e. Annex-A and Annex-B enclosed ) along with all certificates/mark sheets/testimonials including Caste certificate (if any) IN ORIGINAL and true attested copies and also two passport size photographs. In the event of any wrong information/fake certificates/testimonials etc., the candidates will be liable to taken-up under Govt. of Indias law, in force.
