ENGAGEMENT OF SENIOR RESIDENTS
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement to the post of Senior Resident under Senior Residency Scheme at Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi.
The applications should be filled on a A4 size Paper, in the prescribed format & complete with all the requisite Enclosures .
The Date and Time of the Walk in interview is specified against each Specialty. Any request for a change in Dates will not be entertained.
Candidates should report with Application form duly filled in & signed along with self attested copy of all the requisite documents in Auditorium ,1st Floor , Academic Block, Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi on the Date of walk in interview at 8.30 A.M sharp. No candidate shall be considered after 10am, in the normal circumstances.
Candidates must carry with them all the Documents in ORIGINAL & produce the same for verification.
Selection will be through the process of Walk-in Interview . After verification of Documents, only those candidates who are found eligible will be allowed to appear for Interview. All documents have to be produced in ORIGINAL at the time of Interview..

Eligibility Criteria:-
(a)Educational Qualification (as on the Date of publication of Advertisement ):
(i) Post Graduate Degree / DM/DNB recognised by MCI in the Specialty,
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma recognised by MCI In the Specialty,
(iii) SR-ONCOLOGY :- Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Genl. Surgery, recognised by MCI
(iv) If such candidates are not available in particular speciality, then candidates without PG qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS out of which one year Junior Residency in Government Hospital or MCI recognised private hospital in the concerned speciality can be considered for a period of one year only subject to the condition that fresh selection process has to be done by end of one year. Extension for another year will be allowed to these MBBS doctor with three years experience, If again no candidate with Diploma /PG/DNB/DM applies. The total period of such extension will be limited to three years of total senior residency as in senior residency scheme.
(b) Registration: Candidates must have a valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) / Delhi Medical Council (DMC) /State Medical Council. For candidates not having Registration with Delhi Medical Council (DMC), they will have to apply to Delhi Medical Council for registration, before joining. The proof regarding the same will have to be submitted at the time of joining.
(c)Age Limit:
Age as on the Date of Advertisement
For Post Graduate Degree Holders For Post Doctoral Degree Holders
- General/UR - 33 years General/UR - 35 years
- OBC - 36 Years OBC -- 38 Years
- However relaxation of age will be considered from 33 years to 40 years only if there is no candidate or applicants who satisfy the laid down age limit of 33/35 years (PG/DM).
- Further relaxation for OBC as per government of India notification will apply.
(d)Tenure: Initial appointment will be for One Year only. This would be extendable to a total maximum period of three(03) years in the form of subsequent 2 annual extensions , subject to satisfactory work , conduct & performance. Termination of engagement / Resignation can be done on one month notice or pay from either side.
In case of administrative delay in finalising the selection process, extension of the terms of present incumbent upto one month may be granted with the approval of General Manager.
(e) Terms & conditions of engagement : Terms & conditions of engagement shall be as per Ministry of Railways , Railway Board, Letter No. 88/H/2-1/9 , Dated 24.06.2008 & subsequent amendment letter No. 1988/H/2-1/9 dated 21.04.17 available in Compendium- 2008 on Ministry of Railways website. www.indianrailways.gov.in .
Emoluments shall be in Pay Band (PB3)- Rs.15,600-39,100/-, Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/-(vide Railway Board Letter No.2006/H/2-1/5, dated 30.03.09) and other allowances as admissible for Senior Residency Scheme under Ministry of Railways. This may be subject to revision as per the decision of Ministry of Railways on the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
General Instructions:-
1. All the columns in application form must be filled properly as applications with incomplete/incorrect information are liable to be rejected summarily.
2. All the required certificates duly self attested must be attached with the application. The candidates must have their Original Certificates, Publications etc with them at the time of interview for verification by the office staff & to be shown to the Members of Selection Board if they desire so.
3. Please Note that any discrepancy pertaining to the documents may invite cancellation of offer of appointment as well as legal action under the relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

5. RESERVATION POLICY IMPLEMENTATION:
Out of the total 20 sanctioned posts at NRCH, there are 14 vacancies on date. The distribution for filling up these 14 vacancies as per the RESERVATION ROSTER shall be as follows:
8 Vacancies as UR & 06 vacancies as OBC only.
- a) Candidates shall be considered strictly according to the reservation roster.
- b) The candidates who indicate their community as OBC in their application form but do not enclose the caste certificate in the prescribed format will not be considered as UR candidate and the application will be summarily rejected.
6. OBC Certificate should not be older than one year from the date of the WALK in INTERVIEW.
OBC candidates are required to submit their caste certificate as per the RRB formats given (issued before the date of WALK in INTERVIEW but within the last ONE year from the date of WALK in INTERVIEW) duly mentioning about the Creamy Layer status & issued only by the Authorised Competent Authority of the State Govt according to the Govt of India & only as per the format enclosed. ( ANNEXURE 2)
The OBC candidate should also enclose self declaration for non-creamy layer status on the date of WALK in INTERVIEW in the given format ( ANNEXURE 3)
7. No application fee will be charged from ANY Candidate. No TA/DA/ Allowances of any kind will be paid for appearing in the interview
8. List of the selected candidates will be displayed on the notice board at NORTHERN RAILWAY CENTRAL HOSPITAL. The offer of appointment will also be sent to the selected candidates by declared E-Mail & by SPEED POST .
9. The selected candidates will have to report for duty within a period of 15 days from the date of issue of the letter of offer. Candidature shall be cancelled in case of not reporting within the prescribed time limit.
10. All the selected candidates will have to produce & deposit their original certificates at the time of joining.
11. Any discrepancy may invite cancellation of appointment and legal action as per the rules. The Decision of the Selection Board will be final. In case of any legal dispute the jurisdiction of court will be Delhi / New Delhi only.
