ADVERTISEMENT FOR JRF or RA

Applications are invited from Indian and foreign national for the post of:

(i) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Research Associate (RA) to work in Ramanujan Fellowship Research Grant (SERB-DST) at Department of Physics, National Institute of Technology Patna, India for project titled Quantum foundations from information theoretical perspective.

Topic to be studied: Measurement in Quantum mechanics, Error-disturbance trade-off relation, Ontological models, Macrorealism, Counterfactual Cryptography etc.

Eligibility:

(a) JRF : Master Degree (MS/MTech/MSc.) in Physics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science. A valid GATE/ NET score is mandatory.

(b) RA: PhD in Physics with published works in the field of quantum foundations/ quantum communications. Those who have submitted their PhD thesis may also apply.

Duration: For JRF : Initially 1 year extendable up to 3 years (b) For RA: 1 year

Salary:

(a)For JRF, Rs. 25,000/- + HRA

(b)For RA, Rs. 36,000/- + HRA (If PhD degree is not awarded, Rs. 30000/- + HRA)
