Procedure for spot round execution:

All eligible (JAM Qualified) interested candidates physically present for spot round admission will mark their attendance till 11:00 AM on 26-07-2017 on attendance sheet available with spot admission committee and submit a copy of their JAM score card in respective subject area. On the basis of JAM score a common merit list will be prepared in each subject separately and seats in General category will be allotted merit wise from this list. Thereafter, the seats in respective reserved category will be allotted to the candidates of that category. There will be no conversion of vacant seats in any reserved category to the candidates of other category.

List of Documents required at the time of Spot Round Admission
1.	Valid JAM score card (2017).
2.	Certificate of Date of Birth issued by competent authority or Class X (High School Board) Certificate as proof of Date of Birth (DOB).
3.	Mark Sheet of Class XII/equivalent certificate for Mathematics as subject in Class XII (eg: Certificate from NIOS for Mathematics).
4.	Grade/ Mark Sheets of qualifying degree examination for all semesters (Final

	Semester/ Year certificate may be University published Online copy, only if original certificates not issued by University).
5.	Degree/Provisional certificate, if Qualifying Degree is Completed and results published.
6.	Undertaking form in case of result of qualifying degree is not published/ awaited.
7.	Migration/Transfer/Conduct (or all as per the availability) Certificate from last Institute/University attended.
8.	Certificate of Social Category (OBC/SC/ST), if applicable, as per Government of India, issued by the competent authority. In case of OBC category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2017 if applicable.
9.	Certificate for Persons With Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, issued by the competent authority if applicable.
10.	Passport size photographs 4 Nos.

Qualifying degree certificate awaited candidates will be admitted provisionally and need to produce it by September 15, 2017.

Institute Fees have to be paid to NIT Hamirpur just after selection on the spot admission date, in form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Director, NIT Hamirpur payable at State Bank of India, NIT Branch (IFSC SBIN0010367). Male students will pay the Hostel Fees in form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Warden, Himgiri Hostel payable at State Bank of India, NIT Hamirpur Branch (IFSC SBIN0010367). Female students will pay the Hostel Fees in form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of Warden, Ambika Girls Hostel payable at State Bank of India, NIT Branch (IFSC SBIN0010367).

How to reach NIT Hamirpur

The Hamirpur town is the District Headquarter of Hamirpur District of Himachal Pradesh and is situated at distance of 85 km from Una in Himachal Pradesh and 210 km from Chandigarh. Regular buses run from Inter State Bus Terminals Delhi and Chandigarh via Una. Up to Una one can also reach by trains as there are few trains coming up to Una. Seat availability and booking in Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Buses from ISBT Kashmiri Gate Delhi or ISBT Chandigarh can be done online at the website link. http://hrtchp.com/hrtc/default.aspx. In case someone plans to come by train, then ensure your arrival in NIT Campus by 11:00 AM (cut-off time for marking attendance sheet for participation in spot round). NIT Hamirpur is 3km from the Hamirpur Bus Stand and can be reached through local buses or private Taxi/ Cabs. From Hamirpur Bus stand to anywhere inside NIT campus Taxi/ Cab fixed fare is Rs. 150/-.
