Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position and Technical Assistant in DRDO sponsored research project under the Project Investigator Dr. N. Ramesh Babu, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Tiruchirappalli-620015, Tamil Nadu.

1.	Title of the Project	Fabrication of corrosion and wear resistant ceramic composite coating on Al alloys by Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation for defence applications
2.	Funding Agency	Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)
3.	Project Position and Number	SRF-1 No + Technical assistant -1 No
4.	Essential qualifications	SRF M.Tech in Metallurgical Engg/ Materials Science and Engg./ Metallurgical and Materials Engg./Mechanical Engg./ Equivalent + 2 years of Research experience. Technical Assistant: ITI with 2 + years of relevant work experience
5.	Age limit	35 years as on 7-11-2017 for SRF; No age limit for Technical Assistant
6.	Preferred qualifications for SRF	Qualified in GATE, M.Tech from Reputed Institutions, Publication of papers in Journals , Interested to do PhD
7.	Emoluments	SRF-Rs 28000/- + 20% HRA (HRA, if accommodation not availed in NITT) Technical assistant : Rs 12,000/- per month (No separate HRA)
8.	Duration	36 months subjected to the performance and receipt of funds from DRDO.
9.	Job Description	1. Project staff will be engaged in the experimental work to meet the objectives of the project work 2. Operation and maintenance of the equipment. 3. Any other works related to the project. 4. Need to travel to other organizations for experimental work
