NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited for the post of research scholar in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur 713 209, West Bengal.

1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

2. Title of the Project: Investigation on the extracts of Swertia chirata, Butea monosperma, Tradescantia

pallida and Madhuca indica as green corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in acidic medium

3. Funding Agency: Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of India

(formerly Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of West Bengal)

4. Duration of the Project: 2 Years as JRF and then 1 year as SRF (total 3 years)

5. Salary: (i) Rs 16400/- per month (consolidated) for the first 2 years while working as JRF

(ii) Rs 18700/- (consolidated) per month for 3rd while working as SRF

6. Qualification: Candidate should be a first-class in M. Sc. with Inorganic Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/

Physical Chemistry specialization/Biochemistry.

7. Nature of the post: The post is temporary and the candidates will not have any claim for any position in the

institute on the basis of this.
