Advertisement for the recruitment of Project Staff of SMDP-C2SD project in Department of ECE

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for recruitment to the following posts purely on contractual basis for a period of 1 year (extendable based on the performance), under Special Manpower Development Programme-Chips to System Design (SMDP-C2SD), project duration of 5 years.

Preferred Specialisation: Microelectronics/VLSI with experience in CAD tools and Chip design/Linux/ FPGA design and HDL programming language with relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates having Ph.D.	Initially for the period of 1 year which may be extended	Rs. 35,000/-
2	Lab. Engineer	1 (one)	Essential : First Class M.Tech/M.E. & First Class B.E./B.Tech Degree in ECE from recognised Institute/ University Preferred Specialisation: Microelectronics/VLSI or related fields with experience in CAD tools and FPGA design with relevant experience.	Initially for the period of 1 year which may be extended	Rs. 25,000/-
3	Project Assistant	2 (two)	Essential: First Class B.Tech/M.Tech in ECE Candidate having working experience in CAD tools and FPGA design will be preferred.	Initially for the period of 1 year which may be extended	Rs. 17,000/-

Terms & conditions:

1) Applications must be sent in the prescribed format by hand/speed post/registered post to Chief Investigator,SMDP-C2SD, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology Manipur, Takyelpat, Imphal-795001. On the envelope please inscribe Application for the post of.. Last date and time of submission of application is 4 pm of 17th March 2016. Duly signed Application should be submitted only in the prescribed format. However candidates may send an advance copy to smdp @nitmanipur.ac.in by email.

2) All the original certificates, mark sheets, etc. shall be shown at the time of interview and the photocopies of those shall be submitted with the application duly attested by the candidate himself/herself.

3) Mere fulfilment of the required qualifications and experience, does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted/called for interview. The Chief Investigator and Co-Chief Investigator of the project reserve the right to fill or not any of the position.

4) A screening committee shall shortlist the eligible and most qualified candidates to be called for interview from amongst the applicants, based on specialization and availability of candidates and requirements as per the project. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the remaining candidates in this regard.

5) The name of the shortlisted candidates and the schedule for the interview will be made available at the Institutes website on 23th March 2016.

6) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

7) Recruitment is purely on contractual basis and no assurance is given for regularizing the recruited staff. The post ceases to exist along with the termination of the project.

8) The Chief Investigator and Co-Chief Investigator of the project reserves the right to alter the number of vacancies to be filled or to cancel the interview without assigning any reason thereof.

9) Candidates in Govt. /Semi Govt service are required to produce No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview, failing which they may not be considered for interview.

10) Applications not in prescribed format will not be entertained. Self-attested copies of the following documents must be attached:

a) Passport size photograph 2 nos ( to be stapled on top of the front page)

c) Marks/Grades cards of all levels starting from HSLC

d) HSLC & HSSLC certificate
