Applications are invited i in the prescribed form from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for the under mention ned post.

Item No.01: 02(two) (UR-02) po ost of Assistant Professor in Geography in Go overnment (General) Degree Colleges Group-A Gaz zetted under the Education (Higher) Departm ment, Government of Tripura in the scale of pay Rs. 15,,600-39,100/-, with AGP of Rs.6,000/-per month h.

Educational Qualification:
(A)
Essential: (i) Good acad demic record as defined by the concerned un niversity with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent t grade where grading system is practiced at the Masters degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree e from an accredited foreign University.
(ii)
Besides fulfilling the e above qualifications, the candidates shouldd have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) coonducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test accredi ited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

(iii) NET/SLET/SET shall n not be required for such Masters Degree Progra ammes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accred dited test is not conducted subject to the conditi ions stipulated in the UGC Regulations, 2009 of 23-09-22009.

(B)
Relaxation Allowed:(i) A A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Gr raduate and Masters Degree level for the SC/ST/Diffeerently-abled(Physically and Visually Different tly-abled categories) for the purpose of eligibility and d for assessing good academic record during ddirect recruitment to teaching positions. Rounding off f of marks it to 55% or 50% as the case may be through grace mark procedure etc., by Universities is s not permissible for claiming relaxation.
(ii)
A relaxation of 5% m may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the markss to the Ph.d Degree holders, who have passed their M Masters Degree prior to 19th September,1991.

(iii) Holders of Ph.d deg gree as on the date of Notification of the UGC R Regulations,2009 (i.e 23.09.2009) along with those ca andidates who were awarded a Ph.d degree thhrough a process of admission,registration,course wwork and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for awaard of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree),Regulations,2009 an nd so adopted by the University, Shall be exempted fro om NET/SLET/SET.

(C) Desirable: Knowledge in n Bengali or Kok-borok.

Age: Up to 40 years as on n 16.08.2017. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5( (five) years in case of SC/ST/Differently abled (PH) can ndidates and Government servants. Provided th hat the Govt. servants of ST/SC/ Differently abled (PH) ) category shall not get this relaxation over and

d above the general relaxation of 5 (five) years availa able to them.

The last date of receivin ng application is 16.08.2017. The application(s s) received after the closing date will not be entertain ned.

The applications along with necessary documents (regarding Qualification from Madhyamik onwards/ Experience/ Permanent Residence Certificate/Citizenship and Age proof Certificates) should be addressed to the Secretary, TPSC, Agartala, West Tripura and submitted in the Tripura Public Service Commission Secretariat during working hours.

This is also in pursuance of letter N.F.1(2)-DHE/Estt(G)/2017/800 dated 27.06.2017 of the Under Secretary to the Govt. of Tripura, Education (Higher) Department.

N.B.: Candidates who have already applied for the post need not apply again. However such candidates may submit documents to update their bio-data before closing date of receipt of application.

Other Important information:

(1)
The number of post to be filled up is subject to increase or decrease following requisition of the Department.
(2)
Prescribed Form availability:-The 4(four) pages Application Form printed in colour font will be available from all Branches/Extension counters of Tripura Gramin Bank in the State of Tripura on deposit of the prescribed Recruitment Fee through the Special Deposit Slip to the Account No. 14711 in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. in the same Branch/Extension counter as a single window system without any extra charge/Commission from the candidates.

In addition, the said prescribed Form printed in colour font (A4 size 90 GSM paper) can also be down loaded from the Website http://www.tpsc.gov.in and in that case, the prescribed Recruitment Fee is to be paid to the Account No.31176521319 of the State Bank of India (core banking branches) in favour of the Secretary, Tripura Public Service Commission. The Bank deposit Receipt is to be affixed with the filled up application form in the specified Box on the 2nd page of the form.

(3) Rate of Recruitment Fees:
(i)
Group-A Posts: -Rs.200/-(Rupees Two Hundred) only for General Candidates and Rs. 150/(Rupees One Hundred and Fifty) only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.
(ii)
Group-B Posts:-Rs.150/-(Rupees One Hundred and fifty) only for General Candidates and Rs. 100/-(Rupees one hundred) only for ST/SC/BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.

(iii) Group-C Posts:-Rs.100/-(Rupees one hundred) only for General Candidates and Rs.50/(Rupees fifty) only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.

(4)
SC/ST Candidates of other States (not recognized by the Govt. of Tripura) should apply for unreserved vacancy as general candidate along with recruitment fee prescribed for general candidates.
(5)
Applicants must be in possession of the prescribed minimum qualification(s) for the post on the closing date for submission of application as mentioned in the advertisement.
(6)
Application in the prescribed form duly filled in by the candidate and 2(two) copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the Application and Admit Card along with the copies of self attested certificates, self addressed envelope bearing postage stamp of Rs. 5/(rupees five) is to be submitted to the Reception Counter of the TPSC Secretariat by 5.00 PM of the closing date (16.08.2017). Applicants may obtain the acknowledgement including Receipt Number from reception counter of the Commission.

The candidates, who will send application by post, are also required to attach to the application; a self-addressed Post-card indicating the Advertisement No. and name of the post applied for. Application will be acknowledged by the Commission by returning this card to the candidate after indicating the Registration No. allotted to the candidate. No separate acknowledgement other than this card will be sent to them.

(7)
Decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate at any stage of the selection process shall be final.
(8)
Assessment and evaluation of the answer scripts done by the Commission shall be final and shall not be open to scrutiny by any external authority.
(9)
Date, time and venue of Screening Test/ Personality Test will be notified in due course.
