Note:(i) TheName, Educational qualification and age for this post is notified as per GO(P) No.264/10/TD dated 10.11.2010 (SRO No.1025/10) and GO(P)No.178/2015/TD dated 03.10.2015 (SRO NO.669/15).

(ii) The above Vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked List published by Commission in Wayanad Districtshallcease to be in force after one year from the date offinalisation ofthe Ranked List or after one month from the date of commencement oftraining in respect of the last batch advised from the Ranked List within a period of one year from the date of finalisation of the Ranked List whichever is later. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported for Special Recruitment from candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, during the currency ofthe list.

(iii) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No. 154/71/PD dated 27/05/1971. A candidate advised for appointment in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for transfer to another district unless he or she completes 5 years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the former district. Even if transferis allowed afterfive years, it will besubject to the rules in G.O.(MS) No. 4/61/PD dated 02/01/1961. Candidates already in Government service holding this post in any one district are prohibited from applying again for this

post, but theycan applytohigherpostswhen notified.

iv)	In the case ofDirectRecruitment preference shallbe given to Exservicemen.
v)	Civil Excise Officer (Trainee) shall not be appointed in the substantive post till the successful completion of basic training for a period of not less than six months, subject totheminimum of 180 working daysasmaybedecided bytheCommissionerof Excise. Persons undergoing basic training shall be paid stipend as may be fixed by the Government from time to time. All the persons who did not undergo basic training will be placed under orders of training within a period of two years and those who did not successfull completethebasictraining shall not beconsidered forfutuerpromotion.
vi)	NCC cadets having A, B & C Certificates will be given weightage marks at the

rateof 2%, 3% and 5% respectively.

5 Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment Candidates belonging Scheduled Tribes)

Note:Applications received from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for the above reason willnotbe issued.

6 Age : 1936, Only Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.1998 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Noother relaxation will beallowed.

Note: Rule 10 (a) iiofKS&SSR is applicable.

2) Physical: HeightA minimum of160 cms (relaxation upto155 cms), ChestA minimum of76 cms aroundthechest andmust have an expansion of5 cms on full inhalation.

3) Physique andEyeSight

(i)

Must becertifiedby a Medical Officer not below therank ofan Assistant Surgeon as tohis physiquefitness andcapacity for activeoutdoor work. The Medical Certificatehas tobeproducedas andwhen calledfor.

Must becertifiedtopossess thevisual standards specifiedbelow without glasses.

(i) Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the Eye or lids of either eye will be deemed to be a disqualification.

(ii) Must be free from apparent physical defects like Knockknee, Flat Foot, Vericose Vein, Bow legs, Deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth, Defective speech and hearing. Candidates should produce a medical certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glass at the time of Physical Efficiency Test / Endurance Test. Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon / Junior Consultant. This Medical Certificate shall be uploaded in the profile of the candidate and the original shall beproduced at thetimeof certificateverification.

Note:Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and vague statement such as Vision Normal, Average, etc will not be

accepted. Specification foreach eye should be stated separately. If thespecification arenot asindicated above, theofficersissuing theCertificateshould certify whetherthecandidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision as the case may be, otherwisethecertificatewill not be accepted

4) Physical Efficiency Test

All the male candidates must qualify in any of the Five (5) events out of the Eight events specified below of the National Physical Efficiency one star standardtest.

Note:Physical Measurement of candidate will be taken prior to the physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement at that time will not be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the Physical Efficiency Test / Endurance Test, he/shewill not begiven furtherchance toparticipatein theTest.

5) EnduranceTest : Candidates must have qualified in the endurance test of 2 kms within in 13 minutes.

8 Modeof Submitting application:

Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their UserID and password.
