Qualification and Experience

1. Online Course Administrator

Number of post 01

Remuneration:

30000/- per month (consolidated).

Duration: Upto March 2018.

The Online course administrator will run an online course through an Open edX based MOOC platform. Specifically, he/she is expected to perform the following:

• Configure Ubuntu 16.04 server to install Open edX using VirtualBox, Network configuration, Regular system backup and maintenance;

• Importing the online course content from the existing server to the new server;

• Enrollment of learners and providing them continuous technical support;

• Updating content in the LMS as suggested by the coordinator

• Releasing weekly courses to the learners and setting up of examination and data analysis functionalities of the platform

• Any other relevant work assigned by the Project Director / reporting authority as and when required.

Essential Qualification

B.E / B. Tech / M.Sc. / MCA / M.Tech in IT or Computer Science.

Essential Experience

1. At least 2 years experience in System administration

2. Expertise in either of the following:

   1. Linux Server administration,

   2. Deployment and management of LMS/CMS,

   3. Content development using open source CMS/LMS,

   4. Administration of e-learning platform

Desirable (experience in following domains)

• Comfortable with web technologies

• Moodle or Open edX platform

• Database: MySQL, MongoDB

• Network Administration

like Python, Django, Intermediate CSS, JavaScript and XML.

2. Computer Assistant

Number of post 01

Remuneration:

16000/- per month (consolidated).

Duration: Upto March 2018.

The role of this position is to assist the online course administrator in server management as well as course content upload and management; coordinate with course mentors, manage course discussion forums, etc.

Essential Qualification

B.E / B. Tech / M.Sc. / MCA in IT or Computer Science.

Essential Experience

At least 1 year continuous experience in Web development.

Desirable (experience in following domains)

• Linux Server administration;

• content development using open source CMS/LMS;

• Administration of e-learning platform;

• Moodle or Open edX platform;
