Applications are invited from qualified Scheduled Tribe candidates of Kerala State for selection to the following post. Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Commission after One Time Registration. Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile. The photo uploaded through One Time Registration should be the one taken after 31.12.2010 and also bear the name of candidate and the date of photo taken should be recorded in the bottom of the photograph. The uploaded photo will be having a validity of ten years from the date of photograph taken. There is nochange in other instructions regarding theuploading ofphotographs.

Note:The above Vacancies are now in existence. The Ranked list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies if any reported for Special Recruitment from Scheduled Tribe during thependency ofthelist.
5 Method of Appointment : Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among ScheduledTribes only).
Note:Applications received from candidates other than ScheduledTribecandidates will be rejected. Individual communications regarding the rejection of their applications for theabove reason will not beissued.
6 Age : 1844 Only Candidates born between 02.01.1973 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Noother agerelaxation will beallowed.
Note:In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age limit shall exceed50 (Fifty)years.
7 Qualifications
1) A Degree in Veterinary Sciencefrom a recognizedUniversity.
2) Registration with the Kerala State Veterinary Council as envisaged in the Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984 (Central Act of52 of1984)
3) Working knowledge in Malayalam Relaxation from the above qualification under item (3) shall be given to persons belonging to Linguistic Minorities in the state subject to the condition that they shall pass the language test in Malayalam as provided in clause (aaaa) of Rule 10 of Part II of the Kerala State& SubordinateServiceRule1958.
Note: i) Working knowledge in Malayalam will be assessed by the Commission during thecourseofselection.
ii)Rule10 (a)(ii)ofPart IIoftheKS & SSR is applicable
Probation:8
Every person appointed to this post shall be on probation from the date on which he joins duty for a total period of two years on duty with in a continuous period of threeyears.
9 Test :
Persons appointed to the post of Veterinary Surgeon, shall during the period of probation pass the Account Test (Lower) Account Test for Executive Officers of Kerala & Animal Husbandry Department Manual Test, if they have not already passedthetests.
10 Training :
Candidates on appointment as Veterinary Surgeon shall undergo within the period of probation, the training course conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department & theperiodof such training shall betreatedas duty for the purpose ofprobation.
- Candidates on appointment as Veterinary Surgeon shall undergo within the period of probation, the training course conducted by the Animal Husbandary Department & the period of such training shall be treated as duty for thepurposeofprobation.
- Persons in the Animal Husbandary Subordinate Service who have worked as Livestock Assistants for a period of not less than 5 years and personeel released from the army who are apponted in reserved vacancies will be exemptedfrom undergoing thetraining.
- Persons who have undergone the B.VSc and Animal Husbandary course with an inbuilt programme of internship training conducted by the Kerala Agricultural University or any other Agricultural University shall be exemptedfrom undergoing thetraining.

11 Modeof Submitting application:
Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the official website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their UserID and password. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the UserID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove qualification, experience, community, age etc. have to be produced as and when called for. "Candidates who have Aadhar Card should add Aadhar card as ID

15 Appointment are made on the basis of the rank secured in the ranked list of candidates prepared in pursuance of this notification subject to the conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.142/72/PD dated 13.04.1972, G.O.(MS) No. 309/73/PD dated 29.11.1973, G.O.(P) No. 21/76/PD dated, 17.01.1976 and G.O.(P) No.25/94/GAD dated, 22.01.1994 allowing special reservations to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in accordance with the procedures made for this purpose from time to time and subject to the rules under sections 3(c), 17(a), 17(b) of Part II of Kerala State and Subordinate ServiceRules, 1958.
16 If a written Test/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of the selection, Admission Tickets for of eligible candidates will be made available in their Profile for One Time Registration and the date of downloading will be included in the examination Calendar. Candidates can download Admission Ticket for 15 days from this date. Candidates who have downloaded the Admission Ticket 15 days prior to the Examination will alonebepermittedtoattendtheexamination.
