Recruitment of JRF under DST-SERB(EMR) project in Physics

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of one Junior Research Fellow(JRF) in the following research project w.e.f 15th March 2017 funded by SERB, Govt. of India, under the supervision of Dr. Ibetombi Soibam, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics, NIT Manipur.

Research project title: "Preparation and the structural, electrical and magnetic characterization of multiferroic composites".

Essential:

M. Sc. in Physics from a recognized university or institute.

Additional desirable: Experience in synthesis of materials.

For NET/GATE qualified candidate: Rs.

25,000/- per month

For non- NET/GATE: Rs.

18,000/- pm for the first two years and Rs.

20,000/- pm for the third year.

HRA will be

10% of the entitled monthly stipend

*Age limit: Must not be over 28 yrs as on 30 May 2016.

  1.   2. Filled application form must reach on or before 15th June, 2017. Candidates may send a scanned copy of the same in advance to ibetombi96@gmail com for review purpose.

  3. A screening committee shall shortlist the candidates to be called for interview, based on the specialization and availability of candidates and requirements as per the project.

  4. List of the shortlisted candidates will be uploaded in the institute website as well as Physics departments website on 16th June, 2017 and no separate call letter will be issued.

  5. The interview of the shortlisted candidates will be held on 21st June, 2017 in the physics department.

  6. Candidate selected for this position may apply for the regular PhD program provided they satisfy the eligibility criterion for PhD program in Physics department, NIT Manipur.

  7. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview.

  8. Mere fulfilment of the required qualifications and experience, does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted or called for interview. The Principal Investigator of the project reserves the right to fill or not fill the position.

  9. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
