Applications are invited for the temporary post of "Project Officer" for the DRDO project on "Modelling of segregation behaviour of beta stabilization elements during solidification of a beta Titanium alloy in vacuum arc remelting process" in Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates.
Duration:
Initially for a period of one year.
Qualification:
B.Tech in Metallurgical /Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Chemical Engineering with two years experience or M.Sc in Physics.
Description of work:
Use of Open foam software to model thermal field, fluid flow and solute segregation during vacuum remelting Process. Exposure to basics of heat transfer, fluid flow, mass transfer and solidification at undergraduate level is necessary. Programming experience in C++ or working experience with any CFD/FEM software would be desirable.
Emoluments:
Rs. 25000/- pm.
The Co-ordinator has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications that are higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement.
