A walk-in-interview will be conducted on 31 May 2017 (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. in the Advanced Computing & Microelectronics Unit (5th Floor of PJA Building) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for the recruitment of two (02) Project linked persons purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled "Algorithms for Design Automation in Next Generation Technologies" at Advanced Computing & Microelectronics Unit (ACMU) of the institute.

Qualifications : A consistently good academic record with M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Radio Physics. A candidate with outstanding performance at a 4 years Bachelor's Degree programme in the above disciplines may also apply. Programming skill in CIC++ is essential. Preference will be given to the candidates who have good knowledge in data structures, algorithms, basic design automation algorithms along with knowledge of VHDL or Verilog, and EDA software tool. Priorexperience in any of the above mentioned projects areas will also be preferable.

Pay : 24000/- (Rupees twenty four thousand only) to 30000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) per month (consolidated), depending on the qualification and experience of the selected candidate.

Tenure of Appointment : Duration of appointment is upto 31 March 2018 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidate.

Age : The age limit is 35 years as on O1 May 2017, usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and differently abled candidates. Age may be relaxed for exceptionally bright candidates with relevant research experience.
