Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for appointment to the following posts. Candidates are requested to apply online only. No other means / modes of application will be accepted.

1. Assistant Coach - 03 Posts (1 UR; 1 ST; 1 OBC)

Pay Band : PB1; ` 5200-20200,Grade Pay : ` 2000/-

Minimum Qualification and Experience : Bachelor Degree in Physical Education or, any Bachelor Degree with Diploma in coaching/ National Medalist/ International representation in the respective games.

Desirable: 2 years experience in coaching in reputed Institutions/ Colleges/ Universities in any of the following events : Athletics / Badminton/ Basketball / Cricket/ Football / Hockey / Lawn Tennis / Squash / Table Tennis / Volleyball / Waterpolo / Weightlifting.

Age: Below 30 years.

2. Nurse - 03 Posts (2 UR; 1 SC)

Pay Band : PB1; ` 5200-20,200, Grade Pay : ` 2000/-

Minimum Qualification and Experience - (i) High School (10th) pass from a recognized University/Board/School or equivalent (ii) Should be registered with Nursing Council of India/ State Nurses' Midwives' and Health Visitors' council.

Desirable:

1. ANM with 01 year of experience/ GNM Course passed from a Nursing School/Institution, recognized by Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council.

2. Professional experience in Government or semi-Government Hospital or reputed Nursing Home.

3. Persons with higher relevant qualification/ experience will be given preference.

4. Working knowledge in English and Hindi.

Age: Below 27 years.

3. Junior Assistant - 1 post ( UR)

Pay Band: PB1; ` 5200 - 20200, Grade Pay: ` 2000/-

Minimum Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a recognized University.

Desirable: Diploma / Certificate course of Photography from a recognized institute of at least 1 year is highly desirable.

For persons having exclusive field experience in photography the criteria of diploma/certificate may be relaxed.

Working knowledge of computer application and photo editing software is necessary. Experience in handling DSLR cameras and good sense of photo composition, lighting with creative ideas of photography is required. The candidate should be well acquainted with handling of various photographic equipment.

All the applicants have to submit a portfolio of at least 20 numbers of photographs (in JPEG formats) covering subjects like portrait photography, live events, sports, landscape photography, etc. in a CD. A brief professional profile of the candidate (about 250 words) should also be attached. The CDs are to be submitted in an envelope superscribing the name of the post applied for along with Advertisement No., Date and Registration No., which they will receive (on email) after applying online, to the Joint Registrar, IIT Guwahati, Guwahati - 781039 by 06.03.2017.

4. Junior Technician - 10 posts ( 6 UR; 1 ST ; 3 OBC)

Pay Band : PB1; ` 5200 - 20200, Grade Pay : ` 2000/-

1. Department of Biosciences & Bioengineering - 02 Posts (1 UR; 1 OBC)

2. Minimum Qualification and Experience - Diploma of 3 years duration in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Chemical Technology with one year working experience. Knowledge of Computer Applications.

   Desirable : Handling, maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, laboratory maintenance, knowledge of computer applications, experience in laboratories of reputed engineering/ technical institutes.

3. Department of Chemical Engineering - 02 Posts (1 UR; 1 OBC)

Minimum Qualification and Experience - Degree in Instrumentation/ Electricals/ Electronics & Communication or Diploma in Engineering of three years duration in Instrumentation/ Electricals/ Electronics & Communication with one year working experience or ITI in relevant trade with 3 years experience. Knowledge of computer applications.

Desirable : Strong working knowledge in the above mentioned field with one year working experience.

Candidates will have to make the payment of Application Fees through the online mode as under: `300/- (for General/ OBC candidates) and `150/- (for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Serviceman will be as per GOI rules. For internal candidates, minimum requirements pertaining to age may not be insisted upon.

Persons employed in Govt./Semi Govt. Organisations /Autonomous Bodies must submit NOC from their employer at the time of verification of original certificates as and when called for.

Institute reserves the right to hold written test / skill test/ interview as the case may be to select candidates for the above mentioned posts.

Degrees as referred above are those which have been awarded by a recognized University / Institution.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for a written test/skill test etc.
