Online applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for filling up the applications is 28.10.2016. Candidates should carefully read the "Instructions" available on Commission's website before filling the application online.

1. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, the Goa Public Service Commission may recommend a candidate if otherwise found fit and this requirement can be relaxed by the Government, on the recommendation of the Goa Public Service Commission, if the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do.

2. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the "Instructions".

   1. GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

      1. Professor in Paediatric Surgery .... 1 post (2nd time)

         Scale of Pay: Rs. 37,400-67,000+8,700/-.

         Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

         Educational & Other Qualifications:-

         Essential: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

         Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

         Note: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least nine years after qualifying degree.

      2. Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery .... 1 post (2nd time)

         Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-.

         Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

         Educational & Other Qualifications:-

         Essential: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least four years teaching/research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institute after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

         Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

         Note: For candidate with Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) degree of three years duration, experience required is at least three years after qualifying degree.

      3. Assistant Professor in Paediatric Surgery .... 1 post (2nd time)

         Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-.

         Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

         Educational & Other Qualifications:-

      5. GOA DENTAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

         1. Lecturers:

            1. Public Health Dentistry (Community Dentistry) .... 1 post

               Educational & Other Qualifications:-

               Essential: (i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

               Desirable: (i) One year teaching experience after post graduation in a recognized Institute. (ii) Three years experience as Registrar/Tutor/Senior Resident/Demonstrator in the concerned speciality of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/Medical College with Dental Wing/Dental Institution. (iii) Knowledge of Marathi.

         2. DIRECTORATE OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND VETERINARY SERVICES

            1. Veterinary Officer .... 18 posts [1 resvd for SC, 6 resvd for ST, 1 resvd for PH (One Leg/Hearing Handicapped) & 10 resvd for OBC] (2nd time)

               Essential: (i) Recognised Veterinary qualification included in the First or Second Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984) and registered with a Goa State Veterinary Council. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

               Desirable: (i) Experience in Cattle Development or Poultry Development or running of a Veterinary Dispensary. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

         3. GOA POLICE DEPARTMENT

            1. Police Prosecutor .... 1 post

               Scale of Pay: Rs. 9,300-34,800+4,600/-.

            2. Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

               Educational & Other Qualifications:-

               Essential: (i) Degree in Law of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) 3 years standing at the Bar and familiarity with criminal law and practice. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

               Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

               Note 2: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the G.P.S.C is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

(iii) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of higher education. (iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System(PBAS), set out in tables I to IX of Appendix III to the University Grants Commission (Minimum qualifications for Appointment of teachers and Other Academic Staffin Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2010. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the "University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges".             14. Librarian in Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Quepem .... 1 post

                Scale of pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-

                Age: Not exceeding 45 years.

                Educational & Other Qualifications:-

                Essential: (i) Master's Degree in Library Science/Information science/documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B' in the UGC seven point scale plus a consistently good academic record, computerization of library. (ii) Qualifying in the National Level Test (NET) conducted for the purpose by the UGC or State Level Test (SET) accredited by the UGC. Those holding Ph.D. Degree are exempted from NET. Candidates holding Ph.D. degree and are already in the University system and have obtained Master's Degree prior to 1991 be given relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks for appointment to the post of College Librarian. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

                Desirable: (i) M. Phil./Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives and Manuscript Keeping.

         5. DIRECTORATE OF ARCHIVES AND ARCHAEOLOGY

            1. Assistant Chemist .... 1 post

               Essential: (i) At least Second Class Master's Degree in Chemistry or Physics of a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) Some experience of research/teaching or work in a Govt. Records Office. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

               Desirable: (i) Training in modern methods of rehabilitation and preservation of records in a leading archival institution or research in allied fields OR Experience in repair and/or preservation of Archives. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

         6. GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, PANAJI

            1. Stores Officer .... 1 post
