* Candidates may kindly take note that for the post of Senior Resident in the department of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology& Microbiology both medical as well as non-medical candidates can apply. For other departments only medical candidates can apply.

A. For Senior Residents

i. Essential Qualification:

a.
MBBS/BDS degree with one year of internship from recognised university/institute.
b.
MD/MS/MDS in the discipline concerned from recognised university/institute.

ii. For Non-Medical Candidates (in the subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology and Microbiology only).

a.
Candidate should possess M.Sc Degree in the subject concerned.
b.
Ph.D in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.

iii. UPPER AGE LIMIT: For eligibility to apply for these posts, upper age limit will be 33 years. This is relaxable for SC/ST candidate up to a maximum period of five years, for OBC candidates up to a maximum period of three years.In case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates,age relaxation upto a maximum period of 5 years, for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.

iv.
The upper age limit for candidates with DM/M.Ch degree applying for these posts will be 35 years. The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates as above.
v.
Candidates who have already completed 3 years of senior residency (non-academic) are not eligible.

vi. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/OPH shall be applicable as per Govt. of India policy.

vii. Pay scale ofSenior Resident 15,600-39,100 + 6,600GP+NPA. NPA is not applicable to non-medical candidates.

viii. Mode of selection: MCQ based written examination will be followed by an interview.

ix. Candidates working in Govt. / Semi-Govt., PSU should apply through proper channel only. The candidates will not be permitted for examination / interview if no objection certificate from employer is not produced.

B. For Junior Residents, Tutors/Demonstrators

i. For junior residents maximum two terms (of six months) are allowed. Those candidates who have already done two terms of junior residency anywhere will not be considered.

ii. Essential Qualification: MBBS/BDS from a recognised Institute with one year of internship and registration under any state or MCI/DCI. For non-medical candidates MSc degree in the concerned subject.

iii. Those candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS (including Internship) not earlier than two years before the start date of Junior Residency (non-academic) will be preferred.

iv.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH shall be applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
x.
Pay scale of 15,600-39,100 + 5,400GP+NPA. NPA is not applicable to non-medical candidates.
v.
MCQ based written test followed by interview if required.

vi. After the selection procedure (written test &interview if required) a merit list will be prepared and candidates can opt for discipline/subject according to their merit list.

C. Application procedure: (Senior Resident, Junior Resident, Demonstrator/Tutor)

i. The applications form for the above positions can be downloaded from the website. www.aiimsbhubaneswar.edu.in.The duly filled application form along with the selfattested photocopies of all relevant certificates relating to age, qualifications and experience(s) with a self-attested coloured passport size photograph and the requisite application fee should reach this Institute at the following address on or before the last date of the submission of application. Persons working in the Govt./ Semi-Govt. organizations/corporations/autonomous institutes etc should submit their application through proper channel. The Institute will not be held responsible for the postal/courier delay.

ii. Director AIIMS, Bhubaneswar reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any point of time without prior notice or fill up less number of posts as advertised depending upon the institutional requirement.

iii. The original certificates i.e. MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate, Internship completion certificate, Qualifying degrees (MBBS/BDS/MD/MS/MDS/Phd/MSc/Others)Medical Registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate e.t.c., of the candidates who opt/select for the post of Senior resident/Junior Resident/Demonstrator will be verified. If any candidate who joins the post and leave/resign/terminate before the completion of the tenure, he/she may do so by giving one months notice as per rules or by depositing pay and allowances with the Institute for the period of which notice falls short of one month or so.

D. Selection procedure:

i. The merit list(s) for all categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/UR shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks of written test and interview for Senior Resident and Tutor/Demonstrator

ii. After filling available posts, candidates called for interview shall be kept in the waiting list.

iii. Any vacancy arising because of non-joining by selected candidates in this selection or by resignation of candidates post will be offered to the candidates from the waiting list according to the merit. All applicants must provide phone numbers and email/ fax no, for faster communication about such vacancies.

iv. The Counselling in respect of JR only will be held as per their merit list displayed on the

Notice Board.
