Walk-in Interview for JRF Position
ADVERTISMENT
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following position to work in the DBT (Department of Biotechnology) project entitled Solid tumor targeting using homing peptides and plasmonic photothermal technique under the supervision of undersigned. The position is purely temporary and is initially for a period of one year. The duration may be extended further if the performance during the first year is very good.
Post: Junior Research Fellow -JRF (Contract) Positions: 1 (One) Duration: Initially for a period of 1 year. May be extended further, based on performance. Emoluments: As per DBT rules. Walk-in Interview date: On 22-May-2019 (Wed) (Reporting time: 10:00am, Department Office, Mechanical Engineering, Room 117, 1st Floor, Satish Dhawan Block, IIT Ropar, Main Campus, Rupnagar -140001, Punjab).
Essential Qualifications: The applicant must meet atleast one of the following 2 criteria
i. Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (or 65% marks)
ii. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with exceptionally good academic record with a minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a 10.0 point scale (or 65% marks) + good GATE score
Desirable Qualities:
Very good knowledge of the subject of 'Heat & Mass Transfer'.
Good knowledge of numerical tools (such as MATLAB or SCILAB etc).
Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to do multi-task, effectively.
