Advertisement for engagement of Consultant (Civil Engineer)

Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), an autonomous body established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 intends to hire services of a consultant on full time and contractual basis. The educational qualifications and other details are given hereunder:

Essential Qualification:

i. B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent, and

ii. Twelve years experience in planning, construction and execution of civil engineering projects, out of which 5 years not below the level of Superintending Engineer in PSUs/ University/ CPWD/ PWD/ Reputed Private Construction Companies.

OR

15 years of experience in Teaching (Civil Engineering) out of which Five years at Associate Professor/ Professor level.

Desirable:

Experience in building construction and in Formulation/Implementation /Construction of academic / administrative buildings infrastructures preferably in educational organizations and allied sectors.

Remuneration: Negotiable.

Period of engagement:

The initial hiring shall be for a period of one year which may be extended subject to requirement and satisfactory performance.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. Engagement of Consultant will be on full time basis and his/her place of work will be Ranchi.

2. Age limit: preferably below 70 years as on the last date of receipt of the application form.

3. The experience and age will be counted as on the last date of receipt of the application form.

4. Documents to prove Qualification, Experience, Age etc. have to be produced in original as and when called for Interaction.

5. In case of false or insufficient information / lack of proof to ascertain the eligibility of the applicant, their candidature will summarily be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

6. Candidates are informed that mere submission of applications shall not give them any right to be called for Interaction. Call letters and intimations connected with this recruitment will be sent to shortlisted candidates by email/speed post. Applicants should ensure that the email id given in the application from is maintained active.

7. The consultant will be required to maintain decorum, discipline as expected of a Central Government Officer.

8. The contract can be terminated by either side by giving notice for a period of one month or one months fixed remuneration in lieu thereof without assigning any reason.

9. The contract can be terminated without notice by the competent authority, if at any time the conduct, performance, activities of the individual are found detrimental to the interests of the University.

10. Interested candidates may submit application form along with self-attested certificates in support of their educational qualification and experience.

11. The University reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement without assigning any reason thereof.

12. No TA/DA or accommodation shall be provided for attending the Interaction.

13. In case of any disputes/suites or legal proceedings against the University, the Jurisdiction shall be University restricted to the Courts of Ranchi.

14. Addendum / corrigendum, if any, will be posted on the University website only i.e. www.cuj.ac.in.

15. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay at any stage.

16. The University reserves the right to consider the application received after the last date.

17. The University also reserves the right to conduct the interaction either through personal appearance or through video conference or any other mode as deemed suitable to the Selection Committee.
