Eligible candidates are invited for walkin interview for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to work in SERBDST funded project on contractual basis as per details given below:

Tenure of the assignment 01 Year (One year in the beginning and may be extended up to the completion of project based on satisfactory performance)

Job Description To carry out the research work related to the project

Monthly fellowship As per SERB/DST, GOI norm

Essential qualification Masters degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Biosciences/Botany or other relevant discipline with good academic records from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

Age limit: 28 years (or as per GOI rule) Reservation Reservation as per Govt. of India norms will be followed. Desirable qualification/experience Valid NET/GATE/JRF (CSIR/UGC/ICAR/DBT/ICMR)

or any other equivalent examination will be preferred. Knowledge of Plant Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates having demonstrated experience in the related research.

Terms and conditions The services of the selected candidate will be as per SERB, DST guidelines. The project fellowship is a full time position. Selection procedure Walkin interview of eligible candidates will be conducted on 19112018at 11:30 A.M. at Department of Biotechnology, Assam University, Silchar, Assam.

Note No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The eligible candidates should report at the venue of walkin interview with original documents/testimonials for verification. Three copies of Biodata (duly signed by the candidate) to be submitted at the time of interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
