Applications are invited for one position of Project Fellow under Centre of Advanced Study Phase II (CAS-II) of University Grants Commission, New Delhi for five years (depending upon the availability of the funds from UGC). Applications may be submitted on a plain paper along with detailed bio-data and attested copies of certificates and work experience to the undersigned latest by 2^nd November, 2018. The date of interview shall be conveyed via email to the eligible candidates. The interview will be held in the office of Chairperson, Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. No T.A. & D.A are permissible for appearing in the interview.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. (Anthropology) with at least 55% marks for General candidates. (50% in case of SC/ST/PH candidates). Age : The age of the Project Fellow should be below 40 years.

For NET /GATE qualified candidates/ candidates awarded Ph.D degree : Fellowship of Rs. 16,000/M + HRA for initial 2 years, Rs. 18,000 /-p.m. + HRA for the third year onwards will be paid.

For Non NET / Non-GATE qualified candidates : Fellowship of Rs. 14,000/M + HRA for initial 2 years, Rs. 16,000 /-p.m. + HRA for the third year onwards will be paid.

Desirable: Knowledge about fieldwork and candidate should be willing to conduct independent fieldwork / data collection in various parts of India/ thrust areas (A declaration to this effect will be signed by the selected candidate).
