Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for ONE Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position on purely temporary basis in IMPRINT-2 research project funded by DST in the Department of Applied Mechanics & Hydraulics.

Project Title

Impounding of River flood waters along Dakshina Kannada Coast: A sustainable strategy for water resource development

Positions (Temporary)

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 1

Monthly Fellowship

Rs. 25,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) if campus accommodation is not available and Rs. 28, 000/- per month after 2nd year.

Note: Revised fellowships may be applicable as per DST norms with approval of concerned authority, Imprint -2.

Tenure of Assignment

Initially one year, extendable annually till the completion of the project (3 years), subject to satisfactory performance; Selected candidates are encouraged to register for Ph.D.

Qualification and Experience

M.E. / M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering with GATE/CSIR qualified and consistently good academic records. Exposure to basic MS software, work experience on standard packages like SWAT, MODFLOW, Erdas, GIS and SPSS/R is desirable.

Age limit

26 years (to be relaxed for exceptional candidates)
