Recruitment for Contract appointment to the post of Consultants (On Contract)

Applications are invited for the Consultants (On Contract) in the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. The post is purely on temporary basis and this post does not confer any right to claim either for subsequent employment or permanent post in future. Initial tenure of the contract appointment is six months and the tenure of the appointment may be extended subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate and necessity for the continued retention for not more than three years.

Essential:	:	Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade B in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/ Institute.
Experience:	:	Atleast 10 years of experience in research establishment and / or other institutions of higher education or Government / PSUs / Autonomous organizations.
Desirable:	:	Qualification in area of Management /Engineering/ Law. Experience of working in E-Office system. A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree. Retired Officers with experience in accounts, budget preparation, administrative matters, personal claims, RTI, legal matters, Stores, purchase procedure, bill passing, internal audit, hostel management etc., will be preferred.

The duly filled in application along with self - attested copies of the supportive documents should be sent to The Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu 620 015 so as to reach on or before 25th March 2019.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS / INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES

1. The applicants should go through all instructions, carefully and ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions. Their admission to all stages of the recruitment will be purely provisional subject to satisfying of the eligibility conditions.

2. Candidates should carefully fill up all the details required in the application form including age, Education Qualification, details of valid Community / PwD Certificates etc., as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained after last date for applying. If any of their claims is found to be incorrect, it will lead to rejection of their candidature.

3. Candidates should submit self-attested photo copies of required certificates and other documents, in support of their claims in the applications such as age, community (in the prescribed format), educational qualifications, experience etc., along with the application.

4. The prescribed essential qualifications / experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidate to be called for Certificate Verification / Interview.

5. Any experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree will only be taken into consideration.

6. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications, level of relevance of experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements.

7. The Institute has the right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for short listing and selection.

8. The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any or all posts advertised and to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

9. Candidates must produce original documents at the time of appearing in Certificate Verification / Interview.

10. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized University / Institutions.

11. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates attending the Certificate Verification / Interview except PwD candidates who are eligible to be paid as per Institute norms.

12. Applications received through E-mail / incomplete/ not on prescribed format / without self-attested copies of relevant documents / not through proper channel will not be considered.

13. Candidate shortlisted for Certificate Verification / Interview will be informed through Institute (www.nitt.ed u) and through e-mail as mentioned in the application form.

14. Any dispute with regard to selection process will be subject to court / tribunal having jurisdiction over Tiruchirappalli.

15. Canvassing in any form/ bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. If it is found at any stage that any information given in the application is incorrect / false, the candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated.

16. The age limit, if any is as on 25.03.2019 (last date for submission of application)

17. The Institute follows the reservation norms as per GOI rules.

18. The Certificate Verification and interview will be held in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli 620 015.

19. Candidates are advised to visit Institute web site www.nitt.edu periodically for updates regarding recruitment process.

20. The Institute shall retain the applications of the non shortlisted candidates only for three months after the completion of recruitment process.
