ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR, GAUHATI UNIVERSITY (Adv. No: NTS-4/2018)

Applications are invited for the post of Registrar in the Pay Matrix at level 14 in the scale of Rs. 1,44,200 -Rs. 2,18,200/-plus other allowances as admissible under the rules of the University. This is a tenure post for five years.

Qualifications and experience required:

1. A Master's degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the seven point scale. The Ph.D. degree shall be desirable but not an essential qualification.
   
   
2. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 -and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in education administration.
   
   

or Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. or 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post.

Age: Minimum age should not be less than 45 years as on the last date of receipt of application. The age of superannuation is sixty years.

Prescribed application form is available in the University website www.gauhati.ac.in . Two copies of the completed application accompanied by self attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, proof of age, documents in support of present position and pay etc. and a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/-(in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft drawing in favour of "Registrar, Gauhati University" payable at SBI, G.U. Branch must reach the office of the "The Director, IDOL, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14" by the last date.

Persons in employment should apply through proper channel or furnish No Objection Certificate from their employer. Suitable persons on deputation may also be considered. Incomplete application or application received after the last date or without the application fee shall not be considered.

Mere fulfilment of qualification will not entitle an applicant for short listing by the screening committee.

The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason thereof. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the post and its decision in this regard shall be final.

Last date of receipt of application is 30/11/2018 (4:30 p.m.).
