Advertisement for JRF position under ISRO RESPOND project

Applications are invited for two positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Physics and Centre for Atmospheric Studies under the project titled Observational and modeling study of the Equatorial Ionization Anomaly (EIA) along 95E meridian sponsored by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Department of Space under its RESPOND programme for a period of three (3) years. The selected candidates may be encouraged to register for Ph.D. under the Dibrugarh University guidelines for Ph.D registration.

Number of posts: 2 (two)

Position 1: The role of JRF1 would be to process and analyze multi-constellation GNSS data to study Ionospheric dynamics.

Position 2: The role of JRF2 would be to utilize physical principles and programming language for upgrading the Dibrugarh University Low Latitude Model (DULLTD)

Qualification:

Essential:

1. Masters degree in Physics with First Class or equivalent CGPA

2. Specialization or optional paper in Space Physics

Desirable:

1.NET/GATE qualification or equivalent

2.Post 1: Experience of handling GNSS data

Post 2: Experience of programming language with ionospheric modeling

Maximum age: 28 years or below on the date of application. Candidates with experience of working in projects would be given preference. The selection would be done on the basis of an interview conducted in Dibrugarh University (TA/DA would not be provided).
