Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks of an equivalent grade of B in 7 point scale with latter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master level (M.Ed.) and P.G. degree school in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturership conducted by UGC or U.P. SLET or Ph.D. degree.

5. DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY: Lecturer:

Bachelors and Master Degree in Pharmacy with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master Degree.

Reader:

Qualification as above that is for the post Lecturer, as applicable and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline. and minimum 05 years experience in teaching and /or research and /or industry of which at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D.

Professor:

Qualification as above that is for the post Reader, applicable and minimum 10 years experience in teaching and /or research and /or industry of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Reader. Specialization: Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmacognosy / Pharmacology

6. DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCES

PROFESSOR:

Essential qualifications as prescribed by the UGC having at least 10 years experience of teaching as Reader Library Science or Dy. Librarian in the University, having Postgraduate degree in Lib. Science / Information Science Documentation with Doctorate degree. Specialization: Information Technology Archives and Manuscript keeping, evidence of innovative Library Science published work and professional commitment. Desirable: Adequate knowledge of computer and its programming to develop a Digital Library.

READER:

Essential qualifications as prescribed by the UGC having at least 5 years experience of teaching or as Asstt. Librarian in University Library having Ph.D. or equivalent published work. Specialization: Same as mentioned for Professor Library Science.

LECTURER:

Good academic record with at least 55% of marks at Masters degree in the subject concerned or an equivalent grade to that of 55% wherever grading system is practiced at the Master's degree level, in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian / Foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the national Eligibility Test (NET/SLET/SET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC.

OR

A professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have :

1. First class Diploma in Visual (Fine) arts discipline from the recognized Institution of India/Abroad.
   
   
2. Five years of experience of holding regular regional/National exhibitions/Workshops with evidence.
   
   
3. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.
   
   

READER:

Good academic record with doctoral degree with performing ability of high professional standard.

Five years of experience of teaching and / or research excluding the period spent for the research degree, Ph.D.

Has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the subject concerned as evidenced by quality of publications.

Contributions to educational innovations such as: designing new courses and / or curricula and /or outstanding performing achievements in the fields of specializations. OR

1. A recognized artist of his/her own discipline.
   
   
2. Eight years of outstanding performing achievements in the field of specialization.
   
   
3. Experience in designing of new course and / or curricula.
   
   
4. Participation in Seminars/Conferences in reputed institutions.

First Class 3 year degree/Diploma (after 10+2) in HMCT or equivalent with 8 years experience in teaching/industry/research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.

OR

First Class 4 year Bachelor's degree in HMCT or equivalent with 7 years experience in teaching/industry/research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.

OR

First Class Master's Degree in HMCT or equivalent with 5 years experience in teaching/industry/research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent.

OR

Ph.D. degree with the first class in 4 years Bachelor Degree or Master's Degree in HMCT with 2 years experience in Teaching/Industry /Research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent. Candidates from industry/practice with First Class in 4 years Bachlor's Degree in HMCT or equivalent and with professional work which in significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Master's degree with 5 years of experience would also be eligible. OR Candidates from industry/practice with First Class in 3 years Diploma (after 10+2) Degree in HMCT or equivalent and with professional work which in significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Master's degree with 6 years of experience would also be eligible. OR First Class in Master's Degree in HMCT or equivalent with 13 years of experience in teaching/industry /research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/or equivalent.

OR Ph.D. Degree with first class degree at Bachelor's or Master's level in HMCT or equivalent with 10 years of experience in teaching/industry/research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. QUALIFICATION &: EXPERIENCE FOR CANDIDATES FROM INDUSTRY & PROFESSION

Candidates from Industry/practice with 3 years diploma (10+2) degree in HMCT or equivalent and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Master's degree with 14 years of experience out of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

Candidates from Industry/practice with 4 years degree in HMCT or equivalent and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Master's degree with 13 years of experience out of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

OR

Candidates from Industry/practice with in HMCT or equivalent and with professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D. degree with 10 years of experience out of which at least 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of an Assistant Professor would also be eligible.

10. INSTITUTE OF MASS COMMUNICATION

LECTURER:

Good academic record with at least 55% of marks at Maters degree level or an equivalent grade of B in 7 point scale at the Masters degree level. The candidate should have qualified UGC/NET or UP-SLET or Ph.D. READER

Good academic record with a Doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the University system shall also posses at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of in 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the Master degree level, other qualifications as prescribed by the U.G.C. from time to time.

Five years of experience of teaching and / or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and has made some mark in the areas of Scholarship as evidenced by quality of publication contributions to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

11. DEPARTMENT OF MUSIC

Lecturer:

Good academic record with at least 55% of marks at Maters degree in the subject concerned or an equivalent grade to that of 55% wherever grading system is practiced at the Master's degree level in the relevant subject or an equivalent degree from and Indian/Foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications. candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET/SLET/SET) conducted by the UGC. CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

OR A traditional and a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the concerned subject, who should have.

1. Studied under noted/reputed traditional masters and has thorough knowledge to explain the subject concerned.

3. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in that discipline.
   
   

READER:

Good academic record with doctoral degree, with performing ability of high professional standard.

A minimum of five years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University / College or Accredited Research Institution/industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered books/journals and University developed-ISBN/ISSN list of journals hosted in the website of the concerned University.

Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course, and technology -mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performing Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC in these Regulations.

Professor:

An eminent scholar with a doctoral degree actively engaged in research with 10 years of experience in P.G. teaching and / or research at the University / National level institutions including experience of guiding research at doctoral level with outstanding performing achievements in the field specialization.
