VACANCY NOTIFICATION

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for selection and appointment to the post of Director, National Institute of Siddha (NIS), Chennai an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi on deputation / contract basis for a fixed tenure of 5 years or upto the date of retirement of the incumbent, whichever is earlier, on a pay at level 14 of the pay matrix + NPA (pre revised pay scale of Rs.37,400-67,000 with Grade Pay of Rs.10,000 + NPA) and other usual allowances admissible as per Central Government Rules.

2. The details of age limit, educational qualifications and experience required for the post are as under:

Maximum Age Limit:

55 years as on the last date of submission of application (can be relaxed upto 58 years in case of persons holding the post of Principal / Director of Siddha Medical College)

Educational & other Qualifications required for the post

Essential: 1.PG Qualification in Siddha recognized by CCIM. 2. 20 years standing in the Profession of which three years regular service in Professor Grade or eight years combined experience in PG teaching (Associate Professor / Reader / Professor), and Research and Administration in Central Government / State Government / Autonomous Body / Statutory Organizations / recognized Research Councils / Universities. 3.Quality Research Work published in peer reviewed research journal. Desirable: 1.Ph.D in Siddha. 2.Extensive experience in research administration. 3.Knowledge in Tamil & English.

General Instructions:

1. Eligible candidates may apply for the post in prescribed Proforma along with photocopies of

all relevant documents through proper channel.

2. While forwarding the application, the sponsoring authority shall ensure that the particulars of

the candidate are verified and that he / she fulfills the eligibility conditions, along with

vigilance clearance certificate and attested photocopies of ACRs/ APARs of the candidate for

the last five years.

3. The applications received directly without routing through proper channel and without

vigilance clearance and ACRs / APARs will not be entertained.

4. The candidate once selected will not be allowed to withdraw.

5. Applications in prescribed format should reach the Ministry of AYUSH within forty-five days

from the date of issue of this notification in Employment News. i.e., by 01.10.2018.

Applications received after the last date shall be rejected.

6. The Crucial date for determination of eligibility regarding age, experience etc., shall be the

last date for receipt of applications.

7. Applicant will be fully responsible for the accuracy of the information furnished in the

application. Any information furnished by the candidate if found wrong/false at any stage will

result in disqualification of the candidature and / or action as per relevant rules, at any stage.

8. The terms & conditions for appointment will be as per prevailing DOPTs instructions.

9. Ministry of AYUSH, reserves the right not to fill up the post without assigning any reason

thereof at any stage of the recruitment process.
