APPLICATIONS/NOMINATIONS FOR DISTINGUISHED PROFESSORS

IIFT is a premier institution of education, training and research in the area of International Business set up by Department of Commerce, Government of India. Applications/ Nominations are invited for the post of Distinguished Professorfrom globally recognized faculty in the field of International Trade/ International Business.

Qualifications required:

(1)

An eminent scholar i.e. globally recognized faculty featuring amongst top 10% scholars in the field of International Trade/ International Business. The scholars in International Trade must have specialized in the area of International Trade Theory and Development.

(2)

A minimum of ten years of teaching/research experience as Professor or an equivalent grade in a University, College or an institute of National level.

(3)

Must have atleast twenty publications in A/ A* category of ABDC/REPEC -listed journals and

(4)

Award of PhD degrees to at least two candidates under his/her supervision during last 10 years.

(5)

Evidence of having taught in reputed institutions in India and abroad.

Age:

Not exceeding 60 years as on the last date of application.

Scale of Pay/Emoluments:

Pay Band of Level 14A (Rs. 1, 59,100 2, 20,200) of 7^thCPC.

Process of Appointment:

Applications of the candidates may be scrutinized by the Selection Committee of the Institute. If considered necessary, the Committee may interact with the faculty through Skype/Video Conference.

General Instructions:

(1)

The prescribed qualification and experience will be minimum, and the mere fact that a candidate/ nominee possessing the same will not entitle him /her for being called for interview.

(2)

The Institute will have the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview, based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee constituted as per the Regulations for this purpose, to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed or by any other condition that it may deem fit.

(3)

The Scrutiny Committee for applications may set higher benchmark and evolve criteria for short listing of the candidates/ nominees.

The applications/ nominations along with candidates/ nominees detailed curriculum vitae should be sent by e-mail to registrar@iift.ac.in. However, a hard copy of the applications/ nomination along with all supporting documents may also be sent in a sealed envelope clearly marked Application/ Nomination for the post of Distinguished Professor addressed to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21,Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi-110016. The applications/ nominations must reach IIFT office latest by 22 March 2019.
