Engaging Young Professionals (Plantation Managers) at Project

NHAI intends to engage Young Professionals (Plantation Managers) at its Project Implementation Units namely RO Chennai on two years contract basis. Accordingly, applications are invited from interested professionals having desired qualification. Desired qualifications, roles and responsibility and selection process are mentioned below:

Post-Graduation / Graduation in forestry / agriculture and horticulture background from National Level reputed institute such as IIFM,IIPM, IRMA, ICFRE etc.

Candidates possessing degree from IIFM / IIPM / ICFRE and other nationally accredited institutions will be preferred

Roles & Responsibility for Plantation Manager (Young Professional)

Core Responsibilities

1. Planning & Strategy
- Assessment of current status of median & avenue plantation on existing highway projects in respective RO/PIU and suggest remedial measure.
- Development of Site-specific project proposal for plantation project.
- Develop action plan for project implementation.
2. Implementation & Monitoring
- Coordinate with Project Implementing Agency (Concessionaire, Local communities/JFMC etc) for effective implementation and monitoring of plantation projects.
- Submit weekly assessment report on project implementation to respective RO & HQ.
- Organize onsite training & awareness programs in coordination with Manager Research & Training
- Coordinate with Plantation Agencies for effective implementation of plantation projects.
- Facilitate research agencies in quantification of environment and social benefits of the projects.
- Liaison with Agro forestry industries for developing institutional arrangements for buy back of sustainable harvest from plantations

Remuneration

Candidates engaged at RO and PIU level will be eligible for monthly emoulments as per NHAI policy guidelines dated 21.06.2017.

Apart from the monthly emoluments candidates will be eligible for TA/DA as per the standard norms. No other perks will be provided by NHAI.
